Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is one of the best courses in this college. Faculty: student ratio is around 1:14 which is really great. Qualification of almost all the faculties are Ph.D. degree holders. The term exams are very frequent and the difficulty is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

Don't know much about the companies offering internships here because I am in 1st year but according to what I know, companies like Atlassian, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. offer internships. And I don't know much about the projects here yet.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. A lot of companies visit the campus including almost every main or popular company. The highest package last year was 58 lpa given to 3 students with the average package of all branches being around 13 lpa. Overall around 70% of students get placed with 90%+ placed in the CSE branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees have taken a really big hike and it has gone to around 18 lacs for 4 years for the BTech program. As of now no such beneficiary scholarship is there. I have not got any job till now because I am still a student here.

Campus Life

The annual fest named bitotsav is held during the month of February and Tech Fest Pantheon is held here. Almost all kinds of books are available in the library as the Library here is really huge. AC, projector, really big classrooms with very good tables and chairs, a big board is there. All kinds of sports are played here at the sports complex. A lot of clubs are here where you can take part.

Hostel Facilities

Every hostel has a different room size, but hostel 1,2,3, and 4 has the same room size and has the best messy food taste in the whole college. You will love the food taste at this hostel 1st year gets double occupancy rooms and gets single occupancy rooms from the 2nd year onwards. The hostel registration process is fluent and is moderately affordable with fees of 20k per semester.

Admission

Admission is done through JOSAA counseling based on JEE MAINS score. Other information about the college is available on the college site bitmesra.ac.in. The admission is done smoothly so no improvement is required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
