Multiple canteens present inside the campus
The library is huge and is the perfect place for studying
On-campus auditorium is present which is very large

Dislikes

Nearest metro stations Belgachia and Shyambazar are quite some distance away.
There is no direct bus from my home to the college
The area outside the college is very much congested

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the MBBS course as my dream was to become a doctor. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:10. All the faculty members are well qualified and trained to guide us about the subjects for the various exams. The semesters and professional exams are conducted timely, and students need to study well to pass these exams.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Internships Opportunities

After 4 years of the MBBS course, students are offered Internship opportunities in the college itself. It includes rotational internships in all the departments of the college. All the teachers and faculties are very much friendly and teach us very well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very much nominal which is affordable to students from all sections of society. There has been no fee hike for many years. The college provides high-class amenities and facilities required for proper education and other facilities too.

Campus Life

The campus life here at RGKMCH is very much buzzing and full of positive energy. The annual cultural fest, Lobelia is conducted every year in the month of September and the annual academic fest, Therapeuo is conducted in the month of August. Multiple copies of all types of books - Indian as well as foreign books are available in the library at all times. The latest and updated journals are also available in the library. Classrooms are well equipped with all the facilities like smart boards, A&V, etc. required for interactive classes as well as seminars. Sports events and extra-curricular activities for students are conducted throughout the year. Gym, Music Room, and Game arena are also present on the college campus for recreational activities.

Admission

I got 622 marks and All India Rank 10629 in NEET UG 2021. I got alloted Radha Gobinda Kar Medical College and Hospital (RGKMCH), Kolkata in the 1st round of state counseling by WBMCC. The admission process was very smooth and student-friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Best medical College in west bengal

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

Rg kar medical college hostel, education and college life review

You have to clear NEET UG cut off for our college which varies according to your category . Cut off is high as our college is third most sought college in WB.
