Course Curriculum Overview
The horticulture stream provides a lot of job opportunities like marketing, sales, landscape design etc. The faculty-to-student ratio is more or less 1:10. The teaching method of BCKV is appreciable. The professors of BCKV used to teach in presentation view mode. Each semester consists of six months including one mid-term and one end-term examination. A minimum of 60% marks is required to pass the semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of BCKV is quite affordable. The students have to pay 6775/- per semester. Students who got 75% marks are eligible for applying for the various scholarships viz. National scholarship (NSP), Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means scholarship (SVMCM) etc. There is a placement cell which gives an opportunity to get any job in the corporate sector.
Campus Life
The campus life of the students is simple. Every year an annual fest Naihrit is held in the month of December/January. Another event named Nabarun is held to welcome the fresher students. The central library is the main attraction of BCKV. All kinds of agricultural books, magazines, competitive books, daily newspapers etc. are available in the library. Annual sports day is conducted by the authorities of BCKV every year.
Admission
An entrance examination is organised for the admission of MSc and PhD students. The cut-off marks depend upon the performance of the students during the examination. The online application form is available on the official website of BCKV. The admission of BCKV is smooth and better.
