Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I always found physics very interesting since class 11 and I got good marks in physics I chose the course. The faculty is very supportive. If someone is weak then they give extra effort. The number of faculty is 10 and the student number was 15. They will give their best to make someone confident. I must recommend them. They all did Ph.D. and they gave too much materials for better understanding. Parents-teacher meetings are also held in the department. The interval between term exams is 6 months and the difficulty level is moderate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the study is minimal. Mainly in lab-based subject lab fees is an additional which is 80 rupees per semester, other fees is so low. Total fees are 1532 per year. The admission fee is approx 1000 and the fees are taken by the staff before the semester exams. Compared with the faculty, labs, and environment the college is very good. If someone comes from a middle-class family and wants a good college then it will surely be beneficial.

Campus Life

4

The popular event held in this Institute is social. Which is held every year, especially in July and August. Other events are also held on the campus like Rabindra Jayanti, Teachers Day, etc. As this Institute is a general degree college it doesn't consider any kind of tech fest. The library is good as it offers free wifi and different subject books. The staff behavior is also good. They are supportive. After taking from the library the book needs to be renewed after 1 month from the library.

Admission

The eligibility of this course is that you have passed +1 and +2 from any of the recognized boards. The application form is available on the website on selective dates, the application fees are minimal as it is a government college and dates are also visible on the website. Yes, the college has reservation benefits as if someone belongs to the categories then he /she will get benefits. The website should be maintained properly.

Other Applied Colleges

Hooghly Women's College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Physics)

The alumni Association is good and the college is near my home. The faculty of this college is so supportive and helpful. The labs are also good but so many instruments are not there and specifically this is women's college and partially government college

Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.
