Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I have an interest in buildings and developing infrastructures in this college the faculty-student ratio is around 1:50 and all the faculty here are phd holders and they teach quite well and exams are held two times a semester and you need to work hard to pass in those exams

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

from the 5th semester the students are eligible to sit in internships and eligibility the companies check is cgpa and lot of companies visit like L&T , and Tata Projects and the average stipend is around 40-50k depending upon the company

Placement Experience

Placements are good,from the 6th semester the students are eligible to sit for placements and there are many companies visiting campus like L&T, Tata project and Bajaj and highest package offered is around 65 lakhs and the average is around 14 lakhs and the percentage of students placed is around 90%

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure depends on the category of the student If the student is a general category student the fee is around 2 lakhs including the hostel fee and all and for an sc/st student the fee is around 1 lakh per year and scholarships one can avail are nsp, fee etc

Campus Life

Life at NITC is good and there will be two fests conducted here One is Ragam and the other is tathva ragam is south India's biggest cultural fest and Tathva is a technical fest. And there are enough copies of each book to study and in classrooms, there are speakers and clubs here are very serious

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good, from 2nd year the student are going to get double shared rooms and hostel was opened in 2021 so it is very good and regestration process for hostel is quite simple which you need to do during joining of every new year and the mess here is not too good nor too bad and there are lot of messes which you can change every month

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

The admission process was clean and neat and the entrance exam which I took is JEE-MAINS, You can find the application form on NTA official website and application fees is around 1000 rs and the reservation I availed is OBC-NCL

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
