Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because I always preferred agriculture is a very good and rising course in today's world. There are many scopes in agriculture whether it's in agricultural or another field BCKV Mohanpur faculty for agriculture, horticulture as well and agriculture engineering is pretty good and student-friendly. Every year thousands of students apply for this university, and it is one of the uprising Universities in West Bengal. The student ratio is about 134 for agriculture and 40 for horticulture students. Teachers are all PhD masters and doctorates as well as scientists So it's a student opportunity to get their education by those process teaching staffs. Term exams are divided into two like mid and end terms and there is about a 6 months gap between two semesters and a 1months gap between two terms. Questions are moderate, hard work is necessary to pass the examination.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies like Syngenta, Gharda Chemicals etc. came to visit here for student placement and job offers. Also, many NGOs came here with job offers for the students. Jobs like junior researcher, seed scientist, field officer etc. are offered to the students

Placement Experience

4.5

From 7 th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. And also so many off-campus placements are here too. Companies like Syngenta, and many chemical companies as well as NGOs visit here for students ' placements. About 60% of students get their placements every year, rest are going to do Masters or higher studies. My plan after getting my degree is simply to find a decent job in companies or NGO.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is also good, best for mediocre students as well as students from rural family backgrounds. Scholarships are available. Semester fees are about 7K and hostel fees is around 2-3K. There are many opportunities in the fields of agriculture and horticulture. Companies from leading seed companies came here to give placements to the students. And they get job offers which are also pretty good.

Campus Life

5

One annual fest is conducted every year and as it is a student-friendly campus one can go through their studies with peace and mind. Every student whether it's seniors or juniors they are supportive of each other in any case regarding the University. Everyone is very helpful in this university. Sports and other cultural activities are also very good here and all are run by the students.

Admission

One can apply for the course of agriculture and horticulture at our university through their obtained marks in board exams, mainly the WB board HS exam. Otherwise, Through the ICAR or CBSE exam, one can get into BCKV as well. You can find the application form, application fees and as pe application dates on the official BCKV website . Reservation is on the basis of general, SC-ST, and OBC quota just like the other universities. No, the overall admission process is pretty good, I am satisfied with the entire system.
