Likes

Campus contains lot of trees , environment is good
Professor are very supportive, also we are provided with teaching assistant
Hostels are very good , they called hostel as bhawan instead of hostel

Dislikes

In rainy season there are some sides of college which drianed
There is very much traffic inside campus due to outsiders
Mess food is sometimes very bad , so we have to go to canteen

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in chemical engineering, but I was not very familiar with the faculty-student ratio, facilities are very good there are two exams in one semester one is midterm and another is end term, and they are of moderate level.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is about 1.5 lakhs per semester, there are many scholarships like merit-cum-scholarship, James Thomson scholarship, and job opportunities are very good as I'm in tier one college. The stipend is between 40k to 200k.

Campus Life

Life on the campus is awesome, our annual cultural fest is Thomson and the annual technical fest is Cognizance, and they are conducted in October and March respectively, there is the Mahatma Gandhi central library where we have all types of books, and many technical clubs and cultural clubs are also there.

Admission

I had given Jee advance, the cutoff was 55 marks out of 360, so the paper should be tougher, I was having a nice experience while preparing for the exam, and I get the benefits of a reservation as I am from the OBC category, and obc cutoff was 45 marks.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. If you get good rank , you will get this college. You will have to get air under 5000 to get in iit roorkee or any top iit....Read More

1st year opinion of IIT Roorkee

I took admission from JEE (Main+Advance).Form could be found on NTA website. Some reservation benefits were , i got a bit higher brancher even though my rank was lower. Mains timing are morning shift and evening shift. As for advance it runs all day for 6 hours(with a break of 2 hour in between). Mains is easy , advance is a bit difficult....Read More
