Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

The course curriculum is basically not so good and the teachers are also not that much aware of the class timings. Most of the time I have noticed that the teachers are not appointed at the start of the semester and when 1.5 or 2 months pass, the teacher is appointed and she just has to complete the syllabus so she will do whatever she can to complete it. Teachers are qualified but some of them don't know how to interact with students which is why the ratio of attendance is 15 out of 42. No student wants to come to the college because the classes are not at all interactive. Now, if I discuss about the exams then they came from the university so no matter if the teacher is interested in teaching or she cares about the student's lacking areas or not but we have to study as per the syllabus on our own.

Fees and Financial Aid

With no scholarships and no campus jobs, the fee is very less. There are no campus jobs, plus I don't think any company will be interested in this college because college plays a vital role in providing jobs to the students.

Campus Life

0.5

Basically, the annual fest happens in the month of March or April named "SHRADDHA TARANG". Only cultural societies take part in this fest and no tech fest is organised. None of the artists come to perform in this college. Talking about the library part, there is no facility for reading books in the library itself. We have to issue the book and then study but ya, the books were available as per the requirement. No amenities in the classroom only fans and lights which also sometimes don't work. Sports are quite good as it is promoted heavily. Cricket and recently Football is getting promoted. Other than that, NCC and photography societies are there.

Admission

Eligibility was on the basis of the marks I scored in the 12th class. But now maybe there is an entrance exam from NTA. Now the criteria is a bit changed so you have to fill up your preferences and then on the basis of the percentile which you have scored in the entrance exam, you will get a college in one of those preferences. Next, I don't know much about Reservation Benefits but talking about the improvement areas, I think the canteen, campus, classes and library have to be improved. The fests and the activities which are being organised are not that good as compared to the other DU colleges. Talking about the placement, it is rated 4 out of 5 when I chose this college but when I connected with my seniors, I got to know that it is only for cs students. So, I think it should be improved on an immediate basis. The best thing about the college is NCC as it supports the students to join and they also offer some campaigns.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
