Good campus life, nice teachers, good friends.
Campus is green, there are many plants and good people.

Campus, whole campus is really small and bad.
Cleanliness is negligible, hostel life is really bad.
Mess food is worst, food is really bad and unhygenic.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is the course I was highly interested in and I was in love with mechanical engineering for a long. Faculty to student ratio is 60:1. Teaching staff is highly qualified and really good. Exams are strictly taken on every few months.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements after the 6th semester. Companies visit the campus every now and then. The highest package is 52 lpa from Amazon and varied kinds of profiles are available. From my branch, 92% of students were placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is 88000 every semester, and it is just the tuition fee, 25000 is the mess fee and scholarship opportunities are really less as of now, i don't receive any financial help and job situation is not so good. No scholarship for me and i have no job as of now.

Campus Life

We have tech fest called techniti, and cultural fest called utkansh. Books are available in good number and journals are also available. Classrooms are really well equipped with air condition. Sports meet are also held regularly and extra curricular are also good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are poor, rooms are small, bathrooms are dirty, and water filters aren't working most of the time. The registration process is really tough. Our hostels are located a bit distant from the college.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

It was through Jee mains. I got a rank of 30000 and got into the national institute of Technology Jalandhar mechanical engineering, I didn't receive any reservation benefits, jee is an Indian exam conducted every year and is considered tough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

NIT JALANDHAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
