Likes

Hostel life is great at NITJ. You would be interacting with a lot of great minds.
Sports ammenities are good at NITJ. You are provided facilities with all sports equipments..
Campus has good classrooms. Proper seats and lighting is arranges in lectur theatres.

Dislikes

Their is no market in vicinity of campus, so you have to travel to main market.
Mess food is unhygenic and poor in taste.
Teachers are too strict. Attendance is mandotary.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I had heard good reviews of my department. The teachers are helpful, well qualified with a strong hold on their subject. The student-faculty ratio is 1:60. The teacher is well qualified mostly from NITs. Exams are held twice a semester.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 88000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Microsoft visited campus to hire interns with a stipend of 1.25 lakhs/month with a duration of 2 months. Assessment rounds and interviews were organized for the eligible students. The assessment was based on DSA.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester itself. Big tech companies like Amazon and Microsoft visit campus for recruitment. The highest package offered was 1.1 Cr by Amazon for the SDE role. 90% of students were placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get the opportunity to work in an MNC.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees of a semester are around 88k for undergraduate students. Students can avail of various scholarships by submitting the required documents. Mtech students are provided a stipend during their graduation.

Campus Life

The campus of NITJ organizes 2 Annual fests. Utkansh is the cultural fest and is held around March month of the year and Techniti is the technical fest of the college held around November The campus has a library with a new library under construction. The campus promotes sports among college students with all basic amenities. The campus has various societies and clubs with wonderful talent.

Hostel Facilities

First, second and third undergraduate students are provided sharing rooms whereas final-year students are provided single rooms. Meal quality is moderate. Hostels are affordable with all basic facilities.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Candidates are selected through national-level entrance examinations like JEE Main, GATE, NIMCET, CAT, etc. The qualifying students need to appear for the relevant counseling sessions including JoSAA, CSAB, and CCMT counsellings.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

NIT JALANDHAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
