NIT Jalandhar in short

I chose this course because I have an interest in the field of automobiles. I am quite fascinated with the working of engines of cars and automobiles and I want to join this field further, So that's why I chose this course. Faculty to student ratio is somewhere around 1:15 . Teaching method of the teachers is quite good. All the faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. All the faculty members are Phd. There are two exams in each semester, one is mid-term and another is an end-term exam. The midterm exam is at a medium level and the end-term exam is at a higher level.

Amazon, Bhel and many other companies provide internship opportunities in the college. The roles offered are the junior software developer role. There are also core companies like Sonalika and Mahindra which provide internships to students as junior engineers.

From the seventh semester students are eligible for the campus placements. Many big companies visit the campus every year like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Uber, Bajaj, Intel, and Samsung. There are 166 offers above 10 lacs and 15 offers above 50 lacs. Students who pass in 2023 have a placement rate of 73.79 %. My plan after getting the degree is to get a placement offer in a good automobile company.

The total fee structure is divided into college admission fees, mess fees and tuition fees. 176000 includes the tuition fees and hostel fees and 25000 is mess fees. There are various scholarships provided by the Indian government and we can apply for those on the national scholarship portal.

Life at the campus is quite good here at Nit Jalandhar. There are two fests which are conducted every year. The cultural fest is known as 'Utkansh' which is conducted in March and The technical Fest is known as 'Techniti' which is conducted in November. Classrooms are quite well equipped, they are fully air-conditioned and the sitting capacity is good. The library is well-equipped with all academic books and journals and research papers. There are many other books which we can read for fun like novels. Sports and extracurricular activities are good in college. There are basketball courts and indoor badminton courts and two volleyball courts and athletic tracks there in college. There are also various clubs and societies in the college like dance clubs, singing clubs and technical societies.

There are two-seater rooms which include two beds, a study table and a chair. One wardrobe is also present in the room. It is good enough for two people and the washrooms are clean and the hostel hygiene is taken care of well. To get the hostel we have to pay the mess fees and hostel fees online and then visit the hostel physically and get a room allotted.

For admission to NIT Jalandhar, we have to go through the JEE Mains exam and after clearing the exam, we have to apply for the JOSAA Counselling process. The seats will be provided. There is a reservation of 50% for home-state students.
