it was very much proud to be part of this college. Campus is very good.

i gave JEE. i got this college by by composite score. As the selection is from goverment quota, there was no interview. i am mech sandwich students and this course is only available in 4 colleges.

my course is unique and is very good. we have training for 1 year in company. so only 3 years of college. college has post graduate options also . my course is available in only four colleges in pune university . mechanical sandwich students are always prefered over other students because they have 1 year more experience than the other students have. foreign universities also prefer mechanical sandwich students over other. placement cell is also very good.

Internships Opportunities

yes , college sends students for internship. there is mechanical sandwich and production sandwich branch in our college . both branches have compulsory 1 year internship programme in various companies. stipend is near about 500 inr.

Placement Experience

very large number of companies approach the college because it is at the center of the city. students above 60 percent are generally placed. indian navy , amazon , tata motors , tcs , forbes marshall , and many other reputed mnc approach the college. average pacakge is arround 3 lakhs per annum.

College Events

we have ENGINEERING TODAY named technical event which received more than 8000 entries from all over india. then we have ASHWAMEDH as the blend of cultural and sports events held in february. many students from all over india come and enjoy the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fees are not very high. about 1 lakh for open candidates and 60000 for obc and so on very much less for sc , st , nt and other classes. atleast fees wont matter after taking admission here.

college has earn and learn scheme. i dont avail it but college has. college helps whatever support you need.

Campus Life

there are many exta curricular activities held in our college . such as we participate in purushottam karandak , firodiya karandak. we have shahu trophy tournament for football. there are many more to tell. college provides best facility for the sports and cultural events.

Hostel Facilities

yes there is a hostel in parvati. nice and economic facility to live in. 2 students per room. food is also pretty good.

our alumni many time come to college and guide us. they share there goods and bads with us so that we can improve ourself in future.

very much experienced staff as college is started is 1992. we have feedback system so they have to teach the best. many teachers here are atleast have a post graduation. so no question on talent. they illaborate everything good. very good conditioned labs are there for evry branch of the college.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
