Remarks

The college is amazing and I am proud to be a part of SR CC. There is a lot of exposure and if someone explores the right opportunities, the sky is the limit.THE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN IN ONE WORD-HECTIC.

Entrance Preview

I wrote no entrance exam. The admission was based on cut offs. I scored 98.5% in ISC exams, post which I easily cleared the cutoff. There was no interview process. My profound interest in Economics along with a high degree of consideration for future career options made me choose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is excellent. The readings are mostly international ones which are quite interactive. The presence of dedicated societies which work round the year and focus on research work extensively makes the course highly Practical. GE options are Political Science, English, Hindi, Commerce and Maths.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell provides amazing internship opportunities to second year students as highly reputed companies like Deutsche Bank and Nomura visit the campus. The stipend ranges from 25k-60k per month.

Placement Experience

5

The Placement Cell of SRCC is famous in the entire country for its amazing work. Almost 80% of the students who wish to secure placements and register with the Cell get placed. All big Fours, KPMG, EY, DELOITTE AND PWC visit the campus along with JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, McKinsey, BCG, BCC. The average package is 15 lpa,

College Events

5

A lot of tests occur as 50 societies are there which keep holding some of the fests or the other. Crossroads of SRCC is famous nationally as it is undoubtedly the most awaited fest of the season with a large number of celebs performing. The organization is amazing and well planned. Crossroads has a budget of around 2 crores and the footfall is easily 30000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

highly affordable fee structure exists, with a fee of Rs.30000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college provides multiple need based internships which are followed by serious screenings like GDs and PIs. I did not avail any. The college is flexible in providing loans too.

Campus Life

4.5

SRCC is undoubtedly the best college of DU. With over 50 societies, it has opportunities for each one of the 3000 students- research wings of societies, corporate wings, sponsorship wings, etc. I am a part of 7 societies currently, which are becoming difficult to manage but the facilities are amazing.

Hostel Facilities

4

I am not residing in the hostel. However, hostel rooms are highly comfortable , inexpensive and on a sharing basis.I am in a PG, paying 25000 Rupees per month. The food is appreciable.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumnus are really helpful. Different cells keep holding workshops for such interaction. People like Arun Jaitley, Rana Kapoor, Nimrit Kaur have created a niche in the country and made the college extremely proud.

Exam Structure

Internal exams are very frequent while semester exams take place at the end of every 6 months. The culture is not "chill" as internal exams as well as attendance is a very serious affair in our college.

Faculty

5

Highly learned and qualified faculty is there. Ranging from young teachers pursuing their Doctorates simultaneously to elder ones who have studied at places like Cambridge and Princeton, and who have published their own books, all kinds of teachers are present. They are highly interactive and helpful and the standards of teaching and the knowledge they possess are extremely high.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
