Remarks

I got many friends here which always have supported me and the best part is that the college is in Chandigarh. Overall experience is good here. Lots of fun with friends, late night movies, group studies and a lot to learn about life.

Entrance Preview

I got admission here through an exam named Jee mains which is a natinal level exam.I got to know about this college online under JAC.No there was no interview process.As there is a increase in demand for electronics engineers these days let me to choose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

Elecronics is a nice course as one should know how the basics of technology work.Here in labs too much focus is done on practical learning under expert faculties.At Pec research work is done by M.E. students under the professors of respective branches .

Internships Opportunities

I have to sit next year for internship but overall internship scenario is good here as many 3rd yearites got pre placement offer in 3rd year.Average stipend for Cse is 40,000rs and for ece 30,000rs.

Placement Experience

Placement cell here brings various named multinational companies like Goldmann Sachs,Amazon,Texas Instruments,Maruti Suzuki etc.Average package for Cse is 9Lakhs and for ece and mechanical is 7 lakhs .So overall the placement scenario is good here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is too much affordable for a bussiness man but for a common man it is slightly difficult.It is about 55,250rs per semester for residents of India and for Dasa students it is about Rs 46,000 per semeter.

Qualification of teachers can be judged from the talent of students here.Even many teachers have a foreign degree here.Teachers here makes students feel like friends with whom they can interact easily.They try to keep syllabus updated which make pec distinct from other colleges.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

Pec is still worth it

I chose this college because of the fees and legacy of college, it is more than 100 years old and everyone in the industry knows about it, the fees is low compared to others. the campus is decent 150 acres which is comparatively better than other government colleges (though if u want better campus and can pay high, go for thapar). I applied to thapar, IIITs but at the end chose here. I was rejected from NIT delhi due to rank (college tag is more valuable of NIT). Admission process is only through josaa and csab, only online (after jee mains). And cse at pec is very popular, along with ece....Read More
