Remarks

College is very good..The clubs here r very good. I am really influenced by the clubs.. And we really enjoy working in clubs.

Entrance Preview

I gave JEE MAIN to get into PEC..NO interview process is there..Basically I was having interest in ECE that convinced me to take ECE in PEC.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very good.. Practical work is also done, We have practical lavs of each topic at least once a week.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provides internships in amazon , JP MORGAN, sandisk.. average stipend amount is about 40k per month.

Placement Experience

Almost 90%students get placed with good packages. Amazon , Gold man sachs, JP MORGAN, MYNTRA, SANDISK.. Average package is about 8 lakhs.

College Events

PEC FEST which is north India's biggest event is organised. This event is very big..There r many committees that work for perfectest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

50k is semester fee and 60k is hostel fee for year.

Yes the college provide scholarships to SC and st and to rank openers for all branches.. And to toppers also.

Hostel rooms r good enough and clean.In first semester the rooms r sharing but after that the rooms r single and food is also good.

Internships r very good. We get to know about many things and learn a lot.

Exam Structure

Its chill structure. We only have one lab a day. So we don't get tired at the end of the day.

Faculty

The faculty is very good and has a lot of experience. The teachers r very interactive and take care of students very well.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

Pec is still worth it

I chose this college because of the fees and legacy of college, it is more than 100 years old and everyone in the industry knows about it, the fees is low compared to others. the campus is decent 150 acres which is comparatively better than other government colleges (though if u want better campus and can pay high, go for thapar). I applied to thapar, IIITs but at the end chose here. I was rejected from NIT delhi due to rank (college tag is more valuable of NIT). Admission process is only through josaa and csab, only online (after jee mains). And cse at pec is very popular, along with ece....Read More
