Remarks

The student-teacher ratio is way too much. At time, it goes 120-1. There is no scope for personal interaction. I personally find it annoying and demotivate.

Entrance Preview

JEE+Boards. No interview. Mechanical engineering because I was interested in classical physics and automotive. Hence, mechanical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was below what I had expected. There is too much emphasis on syllabus completion that teachers do not have ample time to actually interact with the students about their doubts.

Internships Opportunities

I'm in the second year. I've heard the college does provide internship for the 3rd year above 7 CGPA.

Placement Experience

Don't have exact idea as of yet. Many tech companies visit and mass recruit.

College Events

Events were really great. Every club had their events throughout the year and ofcourse there's pecfest

Fee Structure And Facilities

Pretty affordable. 55k tuition fees, twice a year.

Yes. No, but my friend did. Didn't need any loan so don't know.

Campus Life

Really good. However, there's really no interest of college in terms of sports. The facilities, if any, are obsolete. The sports savvy people suffer a lot.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. 58k per year. The hostel rooms were below average. Only one fan in the room. Maintenance was slow. Any improvement took months to come.

Exam Structure

Exams were concentrated usually before the semester exams. So semester chill but exams frustrating.

Faculty

Faculty is quite experienced. But the problem is they know but aren't at time able, or maybe, interested to share all the gold of knowledge.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

Pec is still worth it

I chose this college because of the fees and legacy of college, it is more than 100 years old and everyone in the industry knows about it, the fees is low compared to others. the campus is decent 150 acres which is comparatively better than other government colleges (though if u want better campus and can pay high, go for thapar). I applied to thapar, IIITs but at the end chose here. I was rejected from NIT delhi due to rank (college tag is more valuable of NIT). Admission process is only through josaa and csab, only online (after jee mains). And cse at pec is very popular, along with ece....Read More
