Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose mechanical automobile engineering as I am enthusiastic about automobiles and related technologies. There are plenty of other courses like mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics, biotechnology, Mechanical Production Engineering etc. There are plenty of eligible faculties with respect to students studying like min 1 faculty for 30 students I guess the Faculties are well qualified, hold various Phds and have many years of experience in their teaching field. Analysing the Teaching method, overall it's good There are sem exams after the completion of each semester. In between two series of exams will be conducted so as to analyse the internal marks. Internal and semester exams are somewhat easier to get passed comparing to other degrees

Internships Opportunities

4

There are several internship offers available from the college. Internship with the KSRTC office and manufacturing areas in our college is the main internship-providing programme in our college. Also, interns can work in the manufacturing of go karts and KSRTC manufacturing in related to college Now there is an EV KSRTC BUS manufacturing programme which is conducted by SCT faculties and students itself going on in our college

Placement Experience

3.5

The campus placements programs usually start in the 5th semester. It can go up to the 8th semester. The college received plenty of placement offers in the past 25 years from famous companies that include Amazon, Bosch, Google, Tata Elxi, Infosys, TCS, UST Global, BYJUS, Cognizant etc The highest packages can reach up to 1400000 per annum. Average packages vary like 700000 per annum. Nearly average 70 % of students are getting placed each year. The percentage varies according to each year. My plan is to work in the automobile industry, especially in the design engineering sector

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees got increased now compared with past years Many years before it was like 18000 rupees something for each course in the college. Now the college is government controlled private college. So the cost to study had increased now reaching 45000 per year

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest of SCT is one of the biggest College fest in Trivandrum. It gives an opportunity for each student in the college to actively participate in a campus programme. The tech fest called Advent students can interact with influential personalities during these fests. Both college and tech fest is conducted during the months of April to June Library: Have a collection of thousands of books for each course in engineering. Some of them are so rare The college has various sports teams for football, cricket, volleyball, basketball etc. Conducts sports meet each year and Auto shows like the Auto ban are one of the unique programs conducted by SCT. Social Groups: NSS is actively doing their socially uplifting jobs in our college regularly. There is a literature club, Film club, Music club, Sports club, Dance club, Nature club etc

Admission

The admission process was quite smooth. Eligibility of the course is that you should need a minimum passing mark in the KEAM entrance exam conducted by the Kerala government, then you can apply to any engineering college in Kerala, whether it is public aided or private, you will get the chance to apply. Before that, you must make sure that you chose Science related streams in your higher secondary education. You can find the application form on the official site of the KEAM entrance exam. Application fee details and application dates will be updated there regularly. I got no reservations as I come under the OBC category.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
