Academics are very good, but the rules, regulations & the facilities given by the college are too bad.

Merchant navy is one of the best career to chose, it is full of adventure & it is one of the highest paid job, from deck cadet to the captain. When u join a company as a deck cadet, u will get a salary of about 30,000 Rs per month, after that when u become a 3rd officer, the salary will be near 2 lakhs.

Our college used to provide placements based on their performance, at least 1 company will conduct placement interviews annually but the results will depend on our performance. One of our main faculties named Vijayan sir can get anyone a job he wishes & he is the head of the placement cell.

The college celebrate most of the festivals like onam, Christmas, teachers day, etc. Special parades will take place during special days like maritime day, Independence Day etc. Parades are taught to the cadets by either the chief warden or senior cadets.

The fee structure in Coimbatore marine college is less compared to other marine colleges. One who's studying there have to pay an amount of 3 lakhs per annum along with mess fees 2500 Rs per month . Other fees are, exam fees arier sees etc. Free for arrier is 500 Rs for imu and 100 for bharatiyar

Coimbatore marine college does not avail any kind if scholarship or loan. If needed, the college will provide a bona-fide certificate which will help one to avail a study loan form any bank

The college is soo strict compared to any other colleges, there is this senior cadets namely the cadet captains & they are responsible for the discipline of other cadets especially juniors. Coimbatore marine college is a 100 ragging free college, if take place, severe action will be taken.

1st year cadets are accomadated in B - Block, b block is a hygiene and good hostel compared to the c block which is too old and too bad, there is a separate hostel for lady cadets. The c block have a total of 4 floors, ground floor is for cadets of GME, ETO etc, 1st floor for 2nd years, 2nd floor for 3rd years and 3rd for for 4th years

Senior cadets are soo helpful as there is no ragging or other illegal activities, fine will be imposed on each and every illegal activities that takes place in the college or the cadet who found guilty will be suspended or dismissed.

Exams conducted by bharatiyar university is easy. There is no practical exams. 3 years are decide into 6 semesters and there will be internal, model & viva exams in between . The viva will be conducted by commander Gopinath Sir or 2nd officer Karthik sir.

Must pass 12th with 60 % in physics, chemistry & maths . Will not get admission in merit, have to pay an amount of 3 lakhs per annum for the course. No donations needed.& another 2500 Rs per month as Mess fees. The college provides outing 3 times a week, so the spending of money will be based on yourself.

All faculties who teaches the marine subjects are too good & other subjects like maths and physics are 'OK' because those subjects are not that important. But I repeat that the faculties of marine subjects are good & they are the ones who decides about our interviews
