Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course to experience some adventures with good financial support. Total no. of the students 80. Faculties are well qualified, many are chief engineers 2nd engineers, and many have done PhD. Every 3 months exam will be there and it is quite hard to clear the exams.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities nowadays have increased a lot. Students are being sent to different porta like Kochi port and Vishakapatnam port for their internships where they experience real-time on-ship and work experience on actual ships.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students become eligible for placements. Many companies like Maersk, fleet, dockendale, etc. have visited our campus and have taken many of our students in their companies. My plan after getting my degree is to get a job in any one of these big companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

2 lakhs per year are the academic fees, hostel fees are separate. Hostel fees are around Rs3500 per month but you have to pay 3 months hostel fees together. I got no scholarships. There are merit-based scholarships. Nowadays college is providing internships, and many companies are also visiting our campus.

Campus Life

Life on campus is disciplined but enjoyable too. We have annual sports day, engineer's day, and nautical science day annually. The availability of books is quite good here. We can get all the syllabus-related books in the Library. There are projectors and TVs in classrooms for smart study. We have many clubs in college like sports, literary, and cultural clubs.

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel rooms, we have our personal cupboards, beds, and study tables. The quality of meals is now very much improved. Registration for a hostel is included during the admission process as it is a residential course.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

For admission, we have to take the IMUCET exam. It is available on the IMU website, the application fee for the general category is Rs1000 and application dates can be seen on the official website, or it will announced on the official social media page of IMU headquarters.

My College Experience

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem onwards students are eligible to attend the placement drives. companies like Amazon , tcs , Accenture, cognizant, sonacomstar, nissiki, valeo, Cap Gemini visit the campus. The highest package offered was 41LPA by Amazon and average package was 4LPA.

Placement Experience:

There is many opportunities given by the collage placement they give training. For placenta and they have some fees structure for placement and that I have paid 2 times 12500 for placement training there are no of opportunities and many companies give good offers for students.

Aspects Of College

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are very good. The studentrs are given oppertuties and are given chances for comapnies such as amazon, Wipro, JP morgan and such that have a great CTC and a large number of other companies including startups are also available. If the student is interested in entrepernership then the startup cell funds for the ideas of students. There is a seperate higher studies cell for students who want to pursue their higher studies and are given guidance to what steps are to be taken by educational fairs and such

Average College Experience at Sathyabama

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college is good. Average salary package is 5LPA. Companies like Amazon, JPmorgan, Virtusa, Accenture, HCL, Valeo, TCS and other major companies hire many students here. I heard more than 90% students were placed.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements in our college usually start from 6th semester. Students are regulary trained for placements from the 1st year both in aptitude and coding skills. Certain branch students receive training specifiically in their own field Most of the students get placed in IT-service based companies like TCS,CTS,Infosys and Accenture. In recent years students have got placed for Marquee offers in big prodcut based comapnies like Autodesk, Amazon, MIcrosoft and Goldman Sachs.

Not a topper but a good learner

Placement Experience:

In my department, placement will provide in the final year. In pre final year they provide internship training to the students. Nearly 10 to 15 companies gives placement in the core sector. It's packages are 25k average. For non core like IT, minimum of 20 to 40 companies will visit to the campus for placement. It's average package will be 35 to 45k.

coimbatore marine college- a short review

i chose CMC because compared to other college which i apllied this college fee was quite okay and it was easily accesible from my home i applied for AMET college chennai and got confirmed admission from there i didn't get rejected from any colleges i applied you need to clear IMUCET exam to join in this college for BSc course and u shoukd have 50% in your english and more than 65% in your PCM in your higher secondary studies this is the eligibilty criteria for joiing CMC...Read More

Reality of marine field

Its not about the rejection in other colleges it's about fees in tamilnadu compared to other colleges the cmc is best for studies in affordable fees. And also there will be imucet entrance exam the students have to clear that the they allow you to the college. For me it's about last rank in passed students still the cmc took me for studies they won't see rank. And like other colleges it's not 100 percent placement.placement is there if you are skilled and studying student the job is yours.and same the college infrastructure is also a reason for choosing this college it will be look like a ship very attractive and another reason is coimbatore climate near kerala so the climate Will be nice....Read More
