Good old days

The overall experience with the management has been to the par. The only cons, if I may say, is regarding the caution money, that was deposited at the time of admission. Though it was said to be refundable, but still, we didnt receive it, 2 years past graduation. It sums to about 25K.

WBJEE (AIR: 9200) Netaji Subhash Engineering College was definitely in one of my top choices, firstly because it was very near to my home, secondly because of the great reviews I had heard about it regarding the campus placements, infrastructure, and career growth.

The speciality of Netaji Subhash Engineering College, is that it caters not only to the students who want to pursue career in MNCs and start-ups but also to the students who want to focus on higher studies, like MS, M.Tech. MBA. Many of our alumnus are in different spheres of life now, varying from IT to Defence, Research to Media.

When I was a student, the college was upgrading, so we didnt get any PPOs, but now-a-days I have heard the students are being provided with PPOs from many companies and institutions.

From our batch, almost 95% of the students got placed in good MNCs like TCS, L&T, Infosys. Those few who couldn't crack these companies, the college officials including the student moderators took special classes on personality development, aptitudes and technical solutions,

Campus life is really very exciting in NSEC (Netaji Shubash Engineering College). Several events including Annual Cultural, Annual Tech, Annual Sports Day are there. There are also Inter department competitions and inter college competitions as well.

Our college fees was very similar to most of the other private colleges in West Bengal. It was about 4 Lac in total for 4 years. It was obviously broken semester wise.

I was a day scholar, so I didnt avail college hostel or PG.

Many of our alumnus are in different spheres of life now, varying from IT to Defence, Research to Media. So we get to interact with them, and discuss about our problems, their views.

After securing a position in the WBJEE, we were asked for the counselling round,where we had to choose the different colleges, and different streams according to our rankings. Once, the college and the stream is allocated to a student, he had to deposit the fees to the respective college authorities, and hence you become a part of that college.

The faculty has been really very co-operative. I remember I had a chance in a student exchange programme from IIT Bombay, and the college authorities without any hesitation allowed me to go to IIT Bombay from about 6 months. Our faculties encourage the students to go on entrepreneurship ventures and risk taking.
