I don't like about the infrastructure they have with everything old fashioned. Considering it as a government college its okay

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for this course just to complete my graduate degree as apart from this I am pursuing CMA ( professional course). The faculty is quite good with a mixture of Hindu and Bengali teachers. Plus they are all experienced teachers in their respective fields. The exams were conducted by CU i.e. Calcutta University timely and the paper level was Moderate.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fees for this course particularly in this college are around? 15000. I am currently in my first year so don't have much idea about scholarships or any financial assistance provided by the college.

Campus Life

So as it is a govt college, there isn't much improvement in infrastructure as old classrooms. The Library is well maintained with a centralised AC feature and a pretty good collection of books. For us, a fest like freshers was conducted and apart from it in every festival, some sort of fest is done usually. infrastructure for sports and extracurricular activities is provided.

Admission

The Admission Process was very simple and quite convenient. You just had to fill out the admission form online and submit your class X and XII Results. Although they only provide you admission on the basis of class XII results. Just after a month, they started releasing merit lists in ascending order of the students who got the highest percentage and continued the lists till all the seats were acquired. The application fees were? 3030. There were certain reservation benefits for obc, st, sc but I got admission purely from my academic marks as I was considered general.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

There was only 3 better colleges I couldn't apply to. They were St.Xaviers Kolkata, Goenka and Maulana Azad. Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is among the top 5 colleges and is well known. It is also the best college in North Kolkata, some might not agree to me though. The deciding factors for me were very low fees, decent quality teachers, and the most important, quality of crowd and reputation of the college.
