Being a commerce student I was interested in commerce as a subject as I was academically inclined and want to get a phd in my future in this field. The faculty is really great and best at their forte. 10 teachers effectively maintain 40 students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at Shri ram college of Commerce is affordable. However, the fees of the hostel rose by a large amount this year, thereby making the cost of living a bit high for students. There are options for paid and unpaid internships off campus.

Campus Life

Life on campus is pretty much happening. You meet a hell of a lot of people here and there. It's a great time for socialising and making networks. There is a bit shortage of classes. There exists a library of two floors with both academic and non-academic books.

Admission

The admission process was simple. We had to register ourselves under the central university initially and then wait for the education boards to release our results. Colleges were allotted to students according to the cut-offs of different colleges.

I have chosen B.Com with Economics as my course.Because I have done 11-12 from commerce site and I am interested in commerce subjects like accounts, economics.The problems that occur in this subject It takes some time to understand this.You have to study in the right way and take classes.Most importantly, if you want to score good marks in the exam, then you should not skip any exam, be it theory or internal assessment.In this field you can make your future in the lines of accounting economist, otherwise this course is the best according to me and I like it.And if you go ahead and do higher studies in this also Like you can do higher studies in accounting line Due to which your knowledge will increase further.

The life you should live in college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is thorough and pertinent, in my opinion. I chose this course because it helps me understand real-world business situations by covering both the theoretical and practical aspects of commerce, such as accounting, economics, and business law. The subjects are helpful for both real-world employment and future studies like an MBA or CA. Although the course prepares us well, it could be enhanced by including more hands-on learning opportunities, internships, and professional guest lectures. To make lessons more interesting, teachers can employ more interactive techniques like group discussions and digital resources. Exams are scheduled appropriately, but occasionally the timetable feels constrained and leaves little time for review. The exam is at a moderate level and assesses more than just memorisation; it tests our comprehension of subjects.

A students insight on his college

Placement Experience:

Eligibility is 5th semester onwards you can get campus placement. Deloitte, TATA, nestle, other big MNC's Highest is around 20 lacs and average is around 5 lacs. 60-70 % students get places but it can be higher or lesser depending upon the crowd of students , their talents. I think I would choose a professional course like civil servant.

SRCC- Asia's Best college experience

So basically i had applied to almost all other colleges in DU, for example Hindu, Miranda, LSR etc. Even non DU colleges, for example St. Xaviers. I got in all of them. However SRCC being my first preferance finally became my destination. I chose it mainly because of the Brand value it has. Same reason that people choose IITs. I didnt really get a rejection from anywhere. Just IIM under IPMAT, and that was because i didnt study too well for the entrance. For the admission in this college, u need to clear an examination called CUET. Thats the only exam. Cut off for B.Com hon goes the highest in SRCC itself, being the most demanded college. I secured an admission into BHU, Jamla Milia Aslamia University as well as SCMS, Pune and Chandigarh University. A number of factors influenced me choosing SRCC over any other college. The primary factor that led to this choice, is definetely the brand value of SRCC. Moreover, it's alum network is amazing, including individuals like Arun Jaitley Sir. The average placement of Srites sometimes exceeds IIMs. The exposure that it provides is unparalleled in comparision to any other DU or Private Colleges.
