Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose the MSC physics course because I want to pursue it and go for research in physics. And jnu is one of the leading universities in India for both sciences and language courses. Faculty to student ratio is also good. They select only 40 students for the course. The faculties are top quality and they teach the topics in a very easy way and are the top researchers in their field and published many books. As our sem started out late so to manage according to the academic calendar semester duration was reduced to 2.5 months with one mid-sem and end-sem examination. It is not easy to score in the exams as faculties set a tough paper.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university annual fee for the msc course is only 268 rupees which are very low compared to other universities it is very cheap campus is also well designed. Various scholarships are provided as per the central government policies and for the financial support they provide 2500 to hostellers and 800 to-day scholars for economically weaker sections.

Campus Life

4

Life on the campus is very good with various events and celebrations going on festivals are celebrated in a great way. Books and journals are available in each department library and also in the central library which is very large with a cyber library also. Inter-University sports competitions are held for various sports during summer.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good with a gym table tennis table badminton court in every hostel. Hostels are well furnished with 24-hour water and electricity supply food quality is average menu changes on the daily basis the dessert provided are good. During the registration process, we have to select whether we need a hostel or not. Hostels are affordable with 1500 for a semester and 3000 mess bills per month. But the students from NCT are not provided hostels.

Admission

Admitted in jnu through the cuet pg held in Sept 2022 then we have to apply for different colleges by submitting various documents like 10 and 10+2 mark sheet graduation mark sheet and degree aadhar card electricity bill etc as proof of your residence etc. Then the university releases the merit list through which students are admitted and only a core subject score of cuet is considered that's the benefit of applying for jnu. As most universities admit students on the basis of both section A and section B of cuet.

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

The students become eligible for placements in the last semester. Primal Group, Allen Career Institute, Akash Institute, etc a lot of companies came for placement. This is a time of recession. So, very few students get placements. My plan is to join the coaching industry as a teacher after my degree.

All I want to say is - C for colourful H for high in demand E for eagerness always M for mysterious I for interesting all-time in all moods S for symbolic T for table R for rhythmic Y for youthfulness Faculty: students - 3:5 Almost all of the professors have completed their postdoc from foreign and have a lot of experience in the teaching field. This time it is a bit hectic bcz of 2 minors and 1 major but I am happy with this.

From final year onwards students become eligible for placements. There are lot of companies like Accenture, flipkart, Amazon, HSBC, etc which offer 5-10 students. The highest package was 50lakhs -1Cr and average is 9- 15 LPA. Usually much students get placed from our college. But this year the percentage is very low could be due the firing of freshers and fear of corporate companies to hire freshers. I Will go for the placements which is still going ( second season ).
