Course Curriculum Overview
The course is comprehensive and deals with core macroeconomic microeconomics and uses proper statistical tools to work on the quantitative side. The three-year course structure was made in phases and as the semester worked on the difficulty levels enhanced .exams at the university of delhi are tough but can be solved if the conceptual subject is clear. Student-teacher ratio sustains at 1:60. Faculty is highly effective.
Internships Opportunities
Internships largely come on campus with no stipend in marketing fields, even if the placement cell is active still the jobs are not sufficient to cover all students and companies are not always good.
Placement Experience
Internships are mostly in the field of marketing and alot of them are unpaid however placement cell has now been dedicated to working on bringing more paid opportunities. Placement cell is very active in the job market, companies like pwc, EY and other big men's do come for recruitment but vacancies are very less
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is minimal since it is a government college. Yearly fees range from 6000-8000 inr. I did not apply for financial assistance. However, the scholarships are given by the university and not the college
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty lively. Maitreyi has immensely talented people from alot of societies both cultural and educational. The campus life is enjoyable since more days include fun and events in the college
Admission
There was no entrance for ba economics hons however it required the student to have done mathematics at +2 level and the core subject of economics. the eligibility was done through cut-off lists via cbse results. Applications are done on the university of delhi portal.
