Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose the history course because I like to study history and I always have had some interest in it that's why I am studying history at Zakir Hussain Delhi college. The faculty of this college is quite good and supportive they teach us very properly and the student ratio is about 25 to 30 students in a class. All the teachers are highly qualified and some of them had done Ph.D. in their respective subjects and their method of teaching is quite good and satisfactory. Term exams happen in every 6 months and the difficulty level is quite good but we can pass them by studying properly with good strategy.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am studying at Delhi University which is known as the best of the best University in our country and they're the fees is also very less I have to only pay 10000 per year and the facility and the campus is also very good so I think the feet are very affordable to anyone who is from middle class or is any family background. There are many kinds of scholarships that we can get by filing the form to the office of administration I also applied for a scholarship and for that I have to give a test and after that, I can use the benefits of the scholarship and the campus is quite good and my seniors had told me that they are getting a good step in from their placement in campus and they told us that anyone can get the job by doing good in academics.

Campus Life

4.5

Zakir Hussain Delhi college is one of the prestigious colleges of DU and it is also known for the extra curriculum activities provided there and also there is an event called pankhudi which is our annual fest that happens every year and is very spectacular. Exams are generally conducted in the month of Feb. And March and also in September and November. We can get The books from all the college libraries which is very easy to issue and After 15 days we can reassure the books again and again as much as we want. Many sports are played in our college like kabaddi and cricket tournaments and football tournaments also there and extra curriculum control activities like debate competitions and speech competitions are always going on. There are social groups like team unity and team ABP also operate in a college which is done by students and they have many social media pages which we can follow it and get updates on their organization.

Admission

Yes I get admission through the common University exam test at Delhi University, the eligibility of the course was to pass the CUET exam for Delhi University and I got passed that exam and after that I got admission. We can easily find the cuet exam form on the Delhi University homepage the fee for the form is around 1400 and the date is around march. There is also some reservation for the minority but not for the general. I think the admission process is quite good because from giving the exam we all have a fair chance to get admission to Delhi University.

Placement Experience:

Lsr has a very high placement rate in all over du . Infact it has the highest placement package offered to any student in du till now which was 49 lacs. Students sit in placement in their final year and top companies come to lsr like Amazon, McKinsey, D.e.shaw, boston, Blackstone, accenture, etc. The highest package is 49 lacs and average package these companies offers is between 10 to 30 lacs. Most of the students who sit for placement are selected and those who didn't, they get placed off campus. I didn't sit for placements but I did get offer from a political consultancy after doing internship with them . However, i didn't have plan of doing job that time . I wanted to pursue higher studies so I went for masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

•The relevance of political science in day to day life how dynamic and comprehensive it is ,and the use of the discipline to deal with the various societal and communal issues we face specially in country like India is something to look for in this course of political science honours •it helps me to acknowledge the role of different institutions and social actors and personality how they are all working under a circle of known rules and principles and dealing with the day to day issues to proper function the mechanism is fascinating and as I am preparing for variety of competitive exams it feels like I am getting an advantage in the field by having the basics of the functional stage of society •the course is very elaborate their is a need to make it more comprehensive and easy to understand keeping aside the complexities of the function proper mind maps and other brain storm activities should be included to memorise such vast knowledge and include modern teaching techniques using AI to make the PDFs transformation into videos so that students can enjoy as well with learning to keep them intact with the curriculum •we have to sit for exams twice one year there are two semester exams in each year and meanwhile the semesters we also have to give written test for internal assessment and continuous assessment alongwith viva the difficulty level of the exam is moderate in my opinion as we get options to select for ,like in 10 given questions which is long answer type we only have to attempt 5 of them which is helpful to us this i

Number of students placed are like 50-60%. Our course is crowded and still getting that many students campus placements is not an easy thing but Hindu College still makes possible that maximum number of students gets placements. It's lovely to be a part of Abhyas the cell which looks after all this.

The placement cell of my college is very active. They hold internships round the year and provide reliable placement at the end of last year. Placement mainly depends upon per student skill rather than the course variability and considering most of the humanities courses are less employable if taken only on the basis of course. However skills are the main deciding factor

I chose this course bcoz I wanted to study political science briefly so I opted for this course. The faculty seemed nice and the student ratio is zero bcoz this is a girls' college. The faculty is really good they provide every necessary thing to their students or teachers are really best except one or two. Actually, I want you to know all that there is a timeline for exams & my last semester's exams are pretty good not even much hard.
