What Students Say

Likes

Attendance is not a very important criteria.
Exposure to different types of clubs and societies.
Library is in an amazing state and has a large section of books

Dislikes

Teachers are not very experienced and are mostly temporary
A full feleged college fest is not there like other colleges
Some of the students arw nit well behaved and often engage in fights

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted this course as I wanted to pursue my future in commerce field. The faculty is fine but not exceptionally good as most of the teachers are young and are guest teachers. This year has been a painful journey as implementation of NEP caused change in examination patern just a few days before exams and our syllabus was also wound up in a extremely fast maner

Internships Opportunities

Several companies provide internship in our college some of them are paid where as some of them are unpaid usually the stipend ranges from 8000 - 25000. Different roles are offered such as portfolio manager, business development associate, sales, Human Resources

Placement Experience

The placement cell of our college is extremely active and I proudly also a part of it. Placement are usually only for the final year students however students become elliguble fir internships from the first semester itself. Highest package last year was of 21 LPA while for this year it's 23 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is pretty lineent for student considered that this is a government college and provideds student with a great library and facilities just for 15000. However there are not any scholarships which I was abale to avial.

Campus Life

A lot of fests are held in our college by different clubs and societies. The best one being Comnique which is conducted by ComSoc the commerce society of our college. The Library is well maintained and the sport and extra curicuallar activities happen regularly.

Admission

The admission process required students to appear for CUET exam. The student must have passed 12th standard in oder to appear for this examination. The registration was completely done online however a lot of technical glitches were present and exams were held in chaos.

The college provides internship opportunities from the 2nd year onwards. The college provides 20-30% definite placements to the students. And almost 80% of students get internship experience and exposure from the college itself. Placement packages are average but also depend on the person and his/her skills. The average package ranges from 2.5-3.5 lacs approximately. Top recruiting companies like AIMS India, Insurance companies, and E&Y. Many more companies visit onboard for the opportunity of Jobs and internships. My immediate step after the degree of graduation is to have practical experience in the real world and work to gain that exposure and have my further studies post that.

Ramjas: Forever Best

Remarks:

The location of the campus is best. Ramjas has known faculty members with great teaching experience. Societies in Ramjas is very competitive and known. Thers regular programmes, seminars and webinars. Fests also is really good. Only the college crowd is little mixed, its difficult to mix up. Admission process is easy you have to check the cut off and once your marks match the cut off you have to visit the college with the documents. After all the document are submitted and checked, you will get admission. Blogs which helped me to select the college is College Duniya.

It has a great academic value and tops the chart of the best colleges in DU also the faculty is pretty co-operative. It has a great exposure to sports also. I would say that my college is surely a good one its a really prestigious college and after living there for 3 years i get to know why it is that much prestigious. But if there is positive sides there are negative sides as well. College should have to take care of the infrastructure of the college which is quite poor and old too.

Life and Times at Dyal Singh College

The admission process was simple, smooth and hassle-free. In the year 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic where we feared lots of hurdles, the entirely online process went as well as it could have been. There were no entrance tests then and the only eligibilty criterion was a good AISSCE percentage. I wanted to apply to Delhi university and you had to appear in CUET. The course eligibility included subjects such as accountancy, English, maths and economics. No cutoffs were released before appearing for the test and even before filling out preference sheet for colleges. Application form was available on the official website of CUET.
