Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for this course because I wanted to pursue my career in the political domain. From the very beginning, I had a keen interest in the historical values and political sphere of a country. If I talk about the student ratio then it is 1 professor for 70-80 students. The faculty in my college is quite notable and meritious. they are very helpful, understanding, and kind. when it comes to exams they put their best foot forward to support students. There are semester exams after every 6 months and internal exams monthly. Passing exams is quite easy if u study regularly. NOTE; KEEP YOUR CURRENT AFFAIR HANDY.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

240+ companies visited our college for internship opportunities. 420+ students got selected for the internship. 190+ internship opportunities were paid and the average stipend was 10000 whereas the highest stipend which was offered by the company named Brainwork was 75000. Some of the big companies which offered internships were Collegedunia, ET, My captain, Cashman foundation, notes dunia, etc. Roles offered were business operations, social media marketing, data analysis, human resource, Content creation, academic content creation, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

You become eligible for placement from the 3rd year. a total of 60% of the students get placed overall but in my course, only 25.79% of students got a job offer from different companies. Around 355+ no. of companies were on board for job opportunities. 70+ unique profiles were offered to the students. The highest Package was offered by Microsoft for 15 lakhs per annum and the average CTC ranges between 4-5 lakhs. some eye-catching companies were Vedantu, Urban Company, Deloitte, Mamaearth, HCL, Chegg, etc. My plan after college is to apply abroad for further study.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees structure ranges from 7000 to 10000 depending on the year you are studying. Fees don't hike without prior notice. The cost of the study is pretty affordable. Maitreyi offers a wide range of scholarships for students depending upon excellence awards and co-curricular activities. Financial assistance is also given to the students who apply for the same. Necessary documents are to be submitted to avail of financial aid. The campus provides internships with stipends.

Campus Life

4.5

Fest season is mostly February and march. A recent fest named Rhapsody was a huge success college called (Singer Ankit Tiwari) for the fest. The library is worthy enough to spend time in. it has a large stock of books and journals. Amenities in the classroom are good. well, furnished desks and tables are provided for the comfort of students. Sports facilities are superb cricket ground, basketball court, table tennis are provided to the students. Various clubs and social groups are there for students to hone their extracurricular skills like dance, drama, music, poetry, eco, etc.

Admission

When I seek for admission, it was based on a merit list. Delhi University college issues many cuts off and if your merit satisfies the cut-off of a particular college you can apply for admission. For the application Form and fees kindly go through the Delhi university official page. Dates of the applications are announced on a prior basis so keep an eye on the college's official pages. the online admission process is hassle-free.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
