Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen Electrical Engineering because I had a deep interest in gazzetes and also i want to something for the country so I had chosen this branch and college. Faculty to student ratio is very godd in IIT Delhi roughly around 15:1. All the faculties are world level qualified either they are graduated from one of the finest colleges of the world or they are very deeply talented. And as an student in this college I would say that the exams are not easy at all. It is very difficult to survive here in this utmost competitive environment.
Internships Opportunities
As I am first year student here at iit delhi so i had not done any internship yet but i can say from my experience asfter listening from the seniors that the culture of internship is very good here at iit delhi. many people also get ppos after completing there internship's
Placement Experience
Placements are very good here at IIT Delhi. There is no particular semester after which the student becomes eligible for placement. Most of the renowed companies of the world visit our college and almost all the students got placed. Highest package in this year was of 4 crores. My plans after getting the degree is to take a job in reputed company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is not harsh here at IIT Delhi. They provide assistance of various scholarships to every needy individual so that they can study without taking any economical tension. Fees hike are not regular. I get merit cum means scholarship of 1000 per month in IIT Delhi so that I can survive my basic needs.
Campus Life
life at iit delhi is quite vibrant with avariety of social activities taking place on campus. iit delhi has numerous clubs and societies catering to a wide range of interests. the infrastucture of iit delhi is modern and well equipped. iit delhi hosts two major fests every year the cultural fest called rendezvous and the technical fest caled tryst. the classroom at iit delhi are equipped with modern audio visual-aids and projectors. also iit delhi has an excellent sports culture with facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is very good at iit delhi. the mess food is very goog with very good taste and good hygiene. Alao rooms provided are good as they have a good amount of space for three persons. also hostels have tt tables and snooker tables so that we can refresh our kind from study. also there are basketball courts and badminton and volleyball courts in our hostel. also the registration process for hostel is very efficient. and hostels are also affordable. so picking an hostel is easy choice rather than kaing and pg or a rented room.
Admission
I was given admission in IIT Delhi after qualifying JEE Advanced exam. It ia exam that is given by more than 2 lakh candidates that are selected from 1 million candidates who gave JEE mains exam every year. Admission proces was as usual. Also I am from general category so no reservation was my case.The course eligibility is based on the ranks in JEE Advanced. There was a particular cutoff of my branch and my rank was under that cutoff so I got that branch. Also all the admission process details are there available on IIT Delhi's website itself. Also I don't wanr to see any improvement in admission proces as it is already perfect.
