Course Curriculum Overview

The course is structured in such a way as to develop a strong orientation toward the applicability of Economics. For the session 2022-23, we have a batch of 70 students who are taught by Ph.D. Professors. Examinations are conducted at regular intervals and divided into semesters.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like PW, KPMG, and BYJU regularly offers internship to our students. There are hundreds of internship opportunities available per year to our students. They offer a stipend of around 5K to 20k for both Works from home and office.

Placement Experience

Placements in our college are regulated by the Aspire placement cell. Companies like Delloite, KPMG, and Physics Wallah recruit students from our college. Most of the placements offered were in the sales and marketing field. The average package is around 4.2 LPA. From 3rd year, you will be eligible for campus placements but for the internship, there is no barrier at all.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees vary with different courses and for the BBE, it is 29660 for a year. Both University of Delhi and our college provide scholarships to needy students. We have a placement cell that invites different companies for campus placements and internship opportunities.

Campus Life

One of the best things about our college is the pleasant study environment along with a good crowd. There are students from different states and we all share our culture and traditions. CVS has one of the most prominent societies like The Entrepreneurial Board, TEDx CVS, etc. We have a decent library but is not as big to accommodate even 100 students. Classrooms in the old buildings are not maintained and all of them are in miserable condition.

Admission

For admission to the University of Delhi, you have to appear for the CUET UG examination conducted by NTA every year. You have to visit the official website of NTA or CUET to apply online. If you're planning to pursue B.B.E (Bachelor in Business Economics) then you should have opted for Mathematics in your 12th standard. After appearing in the examination, NTA released a scorecard with a normalized score and percentile. Merit was considered based on normalized marks. Then we registered on the official portal of preferred universities or colleges for our online counseling. And the university prepared the merit list and allocated seats to us. I secured a seat in the College of Vocational Studies for the B.B.E course in the first round of counseling. I froze my seat and didn't opt for an upgrade as I was satisfied with it.

The highest package after bba is 5 lakhs per annum which is quite ok after bba My plans after getting my college degree is that I would apply for my further studies in abroad during my 3rd year of the college so as I don't have a year gap and I would start preparing for IELTS exam

Iitm - A good memory ??

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course was good and the teachers made it fun and easier to study. They even give study material and extra classes just in case we do not understand even a single topic. Teaching methods are not the one they should be improving as they are doing what a student can understand basically making a student friendly environment. The course is great because I think they can really shape a student's mindset in a great way, Earlier I didn't like to study but the course is so interesting that I find it fun to study now. The placement of JIMS Kalkaji are actually very good, for the batch 2016-19 a lot of students were placed at Royal Bank of Scotland with an average package 2.16 lac per annum, highest package for the batch 2016-19 was 4.05 Lac Per Annum offered by Godrej & Boyce, the average package for 2016-19 was 2.68 Lac Per Annum. I applied for IP University and I got admission in Maharaja surajmal for bba and VIPs for eco hons but in spot round , I got cvs, du for bms. I chose this college becoz of the renowed name of University of delhi and professionalism of BMS course. No, I didn't got any rejected, I just applied for ipu and du, I got a seat in both of them For our college, we have to go for CUET test after which, there are various rounds to qualify for the admission and for ipu we have to give CET. I applied to IPM of Indore, Rohtak, Ip university, Dtu for bba and du I got selected for eco hons at ipu and dtu bba at first, while I didn't get any seat till then in du rounds , I went to dtu bba till 2 weeks and the experience was good but then I got selected in CVS is spot round 2 in du, although this new college was far from my home the name of du made the difference and the course BMS is also sought after which made me submit withdrawal in dtu, in preferences I wrote Srcc and Shaheed Sukhdev, Sri Guru Gobind Singh above in preference list and this course must be at 15 th place To get admission in this college you have to give cuet exam and register your score in csas portal of du , to get into BMS , you have to give exams of english, maths, general test....Read More

Blessing in disguise

Well to be honest this college I never choosed I took admission in this college cuz I think taking a drop of a year isn't a good idea plus I wanted to do bachelor's In psychology and now I'm doing English hons. But this course isn't that bad actually I'm understanding the things and somehow it is picking up my intrest well if I compare my college to other college obviously other college is better in infrastructure but when I see the liberty of our college the environment of our college it is pretty much good our seniors are too humble to us and things are good societies are also good in our college which totally works and now I accepted this course actually so I don't think that much about this well next year I will apply again to other college and let's see will may I get admission in psychology hons. I applied to SRM University Sonepat for BA (Hons.) Psychology but since it was too expensive considering the hostel fees as well I chose CVS. The admission process is through CUET only. We have to apply for CUET examination and then register for CSAS in DU.
