A brief about SLIET

Admissions after JE Mains and for lateral entry via entrance exam. Application form available on college website. No reservations for lateral entry in B.E Only reservations are allowed for 4 years B.E

I chose CSE because I alwaya wanted to be in the IT sector. All the faculty members are post graduate and also most of the are a PhD holders All the examination were held according to its academic calendar. And the examination were little bit difficult to pass.

The studentsare allowed to undergo internship in Public Limited company, Institution of National Importance, Government organization, reputed Private Limited Company or start-up. This will be applicable for the final semester undergraduate students only as per curriculum. Training placement department shall try.to get internship slots/positions from the reputed companies and offer the same to the students who are interested to go for internship.

In the 3rd year or 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. There are lot of companies visted like Infosys, JSW, Tech Mahindra, TCS, cognizant, and much more companies visted in the campus and on an average 20-25 offers made by each of them. Highest package offered was 21LPA. Almost 80 to 90 % placements are done.

In our campus, fees are very pocket friendly. Per semester fee for B E are only 35000 including hostel. Fee hike are very less. Most of the year , it remains same and whenever it increases , there is a hike of about thousand to two thousand per semester.

There are various types of sports and extra curricular activities are done here like Cricket, football, volleyball, swimming, yoga, gym , music and dance classes and many more activities are facilites to the students. There are Hindi club, Mavericks for programming, Endeavour group for Robotics, a society SMES , SVIESA for photography, also a social club named as Happy Club run by students.

Inside the room there is a cupboard, a bed, a table and a chair. Meal quality is negotiable but it needs improvement. Registration are done by care taker in the the hostel after submitting the fee slip to them. PG and Rented rooms are available in Longowal Dist Sangrur Punjab

No there is not any GD round for the admission. Basically admission for 4 year degree through Josa and Jee mains. And for three years lateral entry there us set exam conducted by the college. For preparation, you must have to go through with the previous year question and some fundamentals of your niche.
