Remarks

Techno India college is an awesome place to learn and have fun. Study, play, party hard, compete, make friends, that's what college is all about. Robotics and gaming are grand events in our college. Campus placements are very good and everyone gets one or the placement. Excellent faculty and lab infrastructure along fun and involving environment makes it the 4 best years of life.

Entrance Preview

I took the WBJEE joint entrance exam. Got a rank of 2935. Techno India is among the top 5 colleges in Kolkata. And the college has a really good faculty of Electrical Engineering. Techno India was the natural choice during my counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is very good with lots of practical work and well fitted lab, with all the latest instruments and devices. There is ample scope for research as well. I myself submitted a research paper, which was approved and published in IEEE after a 2 year long research.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college doesn't provide internship, however, it is mandatory to do internship in any power plant for 6 months total. The college suggests places and helps us smoothen the internship process in any private or government facility.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus Placements are very good with lots of companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro, L&T, Microsoft, etc. The max package was 14 LPA but most students got placed with packages around 3 LPA. I got placed in both TCS and Accenture. TCS : 3.16 Lakhs per annum Accenture : 2.96 Lakhs per annum

College Events

5

We have a Techfest and a Cultural fest every year. Students from all the other colleges in Kolkata participate in them in large numbers. Robotics, gaming, songs, band performance and many other activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. Our entire course fee was 2.68 lakhs for 4 years. Hostel charges extra. You can arrange for your own accommodation as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Lots of educational loan options are available as the college has tie-ups with ICICI bank, HDFC, Indusland Bank, Citibank, Axis Bank, etc. I am not sure about scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is fun with welcoming seniors, football, cricket, cultural events, friendly environment. Girls to boys ratio = 2 : 3 We have competitions on robotics, gaming, chess, TT, caroms, hackathlons, music and dance competitions and many more. Its a very friendly and fun atmosphere, where race, diversity, gender, status is hardly noticed.

Hostel Facilities

4

I didn't enroll myself in the hostel, as my home was near to the college. But from what I have heard, hostel food is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, seniors are very helpful with academics, administration, practicals, organizing fests, etc. They help us if we face any problems, and treated us like younger brothers.

Exam Structure

We used to have 2 semester exams in a year with 4 - 6 class tests per subject. We used to have 12 lab sessions every week. But there was ample time and scope for enjoyment as well, playing cricket, football, college fests, etc.

Admission

We were given the Admission form during WBJEE counselling and we filled it and submitted then and there. Later we had to visit the college for submitting of documents. Administration was helpful and fast. Then we directly visited on the first day of college.

Faculty

5

Faculty is excellent, with helpful teachers, willing to give extra classes if necessary. The have very good subject know how as well. Most of them hold Phd. Degrees.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
