Remarks

To get admission to this college you need to secure a valid WBJEE or JEE MAINS rank. For CSE, if you had a rank of 10k you'll be admitted. After the counseling if you are allotted this college you'll take admitted. Otherwise, you get admission through the management quota. There are no reservation benefits in this college, but if you are a candidate of WB you must need the domicile of WB. The placement statistics are decent, the college offers an avg package of nearly 4.5LPA and the highest in more than 42LPA. But if you want to take admitted to this college at the time of admission you need too much patience, they took you at least five to six hours. I think the faculty need more improve in this and try to do this process faster. Overall the college is a premium institute @ Kolkata. With great infrastructure and awesome placement records.

Since my childhood, I want to become an electrical engineer. That's why I follow this path. The student ratio (between boys and girls) is - 3:1. The faculty members are well experienced and every member is are MS or MTECH or Ph.D. The college comes under MAKAUT University, so it takes four internal examinations in a gap of 1 month.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

When I took admission the total fee is 484800. But now it increases up to 5lakh 50k. The scholarship you get is - the Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Scholarship, National scholarship program, If you are a WB candidate then you can apply for a STUDENT CREDIT CARD.

Campus Life

Every department has its own cultural fest, just like the ELECTRICAL dept has a fest named SAFARNAMA. Our college has a central library and it contains nearly 0ne lakh of books, journals, etc. Annual sports are organized @ our playground, and also there a facility of indoor games are also available. Tech club, Rotaract club.

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Things you should know before taking admission in NSEC

Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college. I have given the west bengal joint entrance exam(wbjee) and through it the nsec college was allotted to me through counselling process. When the result declared, you have to apply for counselling and put your choice of colleges with rank. Every round you will be allotted college according to your result rank. Passing out in 2025, have seen a old place in 2021, to a new college in 2025, rennovated

I had a senior in my locality, 2019 passout, following whom I joined NSEC. I still admire and thank him for guiding me while joining NSEC. While admission I didint face any kind of interview. I had got a rank in WBJEE, and during the first counselling round, I selected NSEC, got NSEC, and finalized it by paying the first semester fees. I wasnt rejected by any college, as I went ahead with my first option. The counselling round at college isnt anything special, just a question whether or not we would be able to bear the college fees, as all comes down to money.
