Entrance Preview

I took WBJEE. My Rank was 295. I choose the college because Jadavpur University is one of the best state universities in India. It has always been among the top colleges in India.It is also well known for its research culture. What's best about this college is the ROI(Return on Investment) as the college fees is as low as Rs. 240 per month and the placements are Excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very well organized and theory & practical classes are perfectly blended. Jadavpur University is also well known for its rich research culture with all India rank within TOP 10 colleges in India The college library is very big and we can find any book related to our subject there.In short this is a dream college for every graduation student.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very feasible. We need to pay only 5,710 in two years since it's a college run by the government. I don't think I need to say anything more about the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are quite a few scholarships or fellowships in various faculties including international fellowships in collaboration with foreign universities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel and mess facilities are good. If you spend Rs. 40 you can get good and healthy food. You can get a variety of foods in 6 canteens.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni networks are very strong and they are very helpful in respective fields.

Admission

I took WBJEE. My Rank was 295.I got admission through state counselling after getting the date from state newspaper.When i reached there they gave me a admission form and i filled it and handover to them.And finally i got the admission in electronics and instrumentation department.

Faculty

The college staffs & HOD's of all the branches are very good and supportive. Teachers are very knowledgeable,efficient,highly qualified and skillful. They always pay individual attention to each student.The teaching faculty is one of the best in the country with teachers having qualifications from both India and abroad. It includes not only GATE toppers but also reputed teachers from professional as well as research background. The method of teaching is primarily based on overall understanding of the subject matter.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

This college provides best jobs opportunity for every students buts for internships eligibility is from the 3 year and mainy focus on 4th year students to be part of the internships . Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
