Overall overview of jadavpur university

I have taken admission through the west Bengal joint entrance examination ( wbjee) with decentralized counselling. first of all, you have to give west Bengal joint entrance exam for a wbjee rank, then you can attend the wbjee counselling where you can apply for any college which comes under wbjee, but if you specifically want to take admission to Ju ( Jadavpur university ) then you can attend the decentralized counselling which was organized by Jadavpur university, the application of the decentralized counselling takes place in online mode but the actual counselling takes in offline mode, so you have to be there physically, application process and application form will be available in the website so have to go through the Jadavpur university website frequently, eligibility criteria for Jadavpur university decentralised counselling are min 75 % in 10+2 board exam and wbjee rank have to be below 10k

All the teachers are very helpful and supportive, all the teachers have PhD, and we have semester exams approx. 4 to 5 months later after starting the semester You Have to score overall 50% to pass the semester, If you fail any exam you get a supplementary exam 4-5 months later, theory class attendance is not mandatory, but lab class attendance is important because it has Marks which will be added to semester Marks

The internship also available in Jadavpur university, both paid and unpaid internship is available in Jadavpur university, internship season start in the third year of college, you can apply for it during the third year, and you can do many projects during the internship which will be helpful for you during your placements

Placement in this university is top-notch, more than 11 students got 1cr+ packages in companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Samsung, meta etc. Almost 85 % of engineering got placed in this university, and many companies visit this university for placement, all the companies who visit the institute like IIT are also this university, placement condition of Jadavpur university is equal to all top IITs even better than that many IITs. 100+ companies visit Jadavpur university for placement. The highest package is 1.8 crore from Facebook

Almost all the engineering courses at Jadavpur university have the same fee except IT ( information technology) because it is not yet government-sponsored, for the first year and second year you have to pay 5500 rupees, which includes everything like lab fee, library fee, tuition fee etc, then in 3rd year, you have to pay approx 2500 and in 4th year also approx 2500, so total four year cost is approx 11k. You can also apply for many govt and private scholarships, the university will fully help with that. govt scholarship like swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship (svmcm ) which will give the student 60k per year during the course but score at least 60% in every year of the college and 75% in 10+2 board exam, you can also apply for a university scholarship which will return your tuition fee

Campus life is one of the best things about this university, it has 2 campuses, one at Jadavpur and the other at salt lake, salt lake campus has 5 engineering department construction engineering, information technology, instrumentation and electronics engineering, power engineering, and printing engineering. Jadavpur campus has all the other 11 engineering departments and all arts and all science departments, Both campuses have canteens, a library, big playground. On the campus, we also have a basketball court, mountain climbing spot etc. Many fests take place in our university like campus, turn, Sanskriti etc.
