DAULAT RAM COLLEGE: IS IT WORTH ?

To opt for History Honors at DU one needs to appear for the CUET exam. The eligibility for history honors is 1 language+3 subject that the candidate has appeared in the board examination as well as CUET. To appear for CUET one needs to check the NTA website about new registrations. As this is a completely new admission process the process appears a little complicated but one needs to constantly stay in touch with NTA portals. To get into the north campus one needs to get a minimum of 730/800marks; the marks decrease as we move to the south campus and off campus (Cutoff can be different for various categories the above-mentioned is for Unreserved).

History always fascinated me and it was my obvious choice to opt for history Honors at Delhi University. There are three papers in history honors and for each paper, one teacher is allotted the total strength of our class is 71. All the professors are well qualified and always have interactive sessions with the students, they try to listen to problems faced by students during the tutorial classes. All the lectures are given in English.

The Daulat Ram College has its placement cell many companies like Byjus, Google gives students opportunities to work under them as I am in the first year and have just started my college journey I have no internship experience as such but what I have to listen to my seniors they are quite happy with it.

The campus placements are held from the third year many companies like Byjus offer students jobs during the placement the highest package the college student got was about 19 lakhs per annum. The average package is about 4 to 6 lakh.

The fees for Delhi University are comparatively less if we consider other private universities. The admission fee for my course was only 19750/-with seems quite affordable although the college offers many scholarships that the student can get to know on the official website of the college.

The campus life is very exuberant lively and full of zest many fests are conducted throughout the year like Jalsa even many celebrities are invited to the college. The library is home to over 1 lakh books students can issue books with their ID cards. The classrooms are great and offer smart boards there are also windows in the classroom that doesn't allow suffocation. The college has many societies like the debating society dance society singing society drama society. For sports, the national sports organization NSO of DRC provides students a platform to opt for their favorite sport.
