Remarks :
The admission is through the entrance examination conducted by the Kerala university. The eligibility of the course is an undergraduate degree in psychology above 50% of the marks. The application form and processes other details are available on the Kerala university press website. Reservations are available for all reservation categories. Bpl reservation was there for students who are in the general category but in below the poverty line. The admission process was not that complicated.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course as the continuation of my undergraduate degree. The faculty-student ratio is 1:3.All faculties have Ph.D.The teaching method is mainly involving students teaching the lessons by giving seminars. Exams are almost on correct time and it's not that difficult to pass the exams, basic knowledge of the subject will be enough
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are a must in the final semester of the academic program. The department helps to find good internship opportunities for university students. The project conducted fully by students with the guidance of professors is a valuable asset to the students even after the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are less when compared to other self-financing colleges since this is a government University. The tuition fee for one sem is 840 rupees and for the year 1680. Fully funded scholarships are available for post-matric students.
Campus Life :
The annual fest/campus day conducts usually in August/September month of the year. Other many cultural, and departmental-level tests are conducted from time to time. The campus library is available with all the needed books and the departmental library is available in the department with almost all subject-related books. The possibility for socialising and extracurricular activities on campus is high
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel has many rooms and dormitory facilities. There are currently 2 hostels for pg students. The hostel fee is very much affordable when compared to other outside hostels. There is a fixed meal menu for the mess and the food quality is not that bad. The hostel registration is done through the online website of the university hostel and the allotment will be updated from time to time. The hostel is situated inside the campus and every facility is within walking distance.
