Remarks
Firstly I was admitted during Covid times so we didn't have any written admission test. The admission was done purely on a merit basis in which we first had to put the application and by merit, a rank list was prepared. Reservation of sc/st applied only to West Bengal residents.
Course Curriculum Overview
I love commerce and had a lot of interest in it so I took B.Com Hons. In this college. Our college has various departments each department has separate faculty. Our commerce department faculty has around 20 of them. Our department's student population is around 70 of them. Most of the faculty members of our department are holding a Ph.D. And every teacher is holding a master's degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
As our college is government aided it has very minimal fees. And if you are belonging from any backward caste. Then everything is free even staying in hostel. Our normal fee structure is around 5000 a year. Our college has various scholarship. When you are admitted you will be notified about them all by the faculty.
Campus Life
Our college hosts an annual fest every year during August. Besides small fests are also organized frequently throughout the year. Our college library section is probably the largest library in the whole of Kolkata. It is also known as the central library. It is fully air-conditioned one can enjoy a book anytime here. All kinds of inter & open college tournaments across all sports happen throughout the year. Athletes have lots of options to get the opportunities. Students unions are present representing various political parties. Also spreading different ideologies.
