Remarks

I took admission on the basis of cut-offs which come out every year by the University of Delhi. ELIGIBILITY: For a course like BA Programme, you just need a minimum percentage that comes in the cut-off. Like my discipline subjects are Economics and political science and I'm from a science background (I was a non-medical student) then it was not difficult for me to settle down in these subjects. But if you want to pursue any other courses like economics honours or BSc, then there are different criteria for them. APPLICATION FEES: Minimal amount (750 for general category).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My main reason to pursue this course was to enhance myself in different fields. Because everyone knows that it is an easy course, we have enough time to peek into different areas of opportunities. Also, I wanted to learn the basics of economics as well as political science to make it clear in which field I want to build my career. FACULTY: Our college faculty is very much supportive and friendly. You will not feel like a stranger in front of them. They teach amazingly!! The teachers I got till now for my subjects all are the best. And others also, as I'm a part of 2 societies so the teachers I got there are also superb. QUALIFICATION OF FACULTY: We have so many PhD. Teachers in our college and the teachers who are teaching me are also pass outs of very renowned colleges like Delhi School of Economics (DU), University of Hyderabad etc. So yes they all are well qualified. LEVEL OF EXAMS: We have semester exams. Their level is fine that is not much tough and not so easy to Moderate

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of our college are affordable. It's between 13000-15000. So it's easy to get into this college (if are looking at fees, not at the cutoff) But yes our college does not provide any funds to societies which is very much stressful as because of it we can't afford to work properly. This is worst thing in our college!!

Campus Life

4

There are so many societies in our college. You can be a part of any of them according to your choice. We have dance societies- western and cultural both separate, eco club (related to the environment), Kalakriti-art and craft society, fashion society, dramatic society and many more. They all are very good and the students are also very much talented but the only problem is funds. OUR COLLEGE DO NOT PROVIDE ANY FUND!! (and then they want us to do everything top-notch)

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
