Amazing

Since there is one more year left, i may add/remove some points which i am not going to mention. Good remarks- amazing atmosphere, you learn a lot, an all girls college makes you see life differently, you become more independent and free, you start having opinions about things, this level of exposure gives you amazing experience in life, the location of college is perfect. Bad remarks- i think more focus is on arts than commerce in knc. Though commerce dept is well established still it can be made better.

The admission process was through cut off. In The year 2015 the last cut off was 95.25 for B.com hons (general category). That is it. No interview.

The course is designed with utmost care, and is quite good. We even get to do research projects along with the regular academics. The course is designed to give us complete knowledge and the faculty is really great which helps us even more. Classes are held regularly.

Yes. The placement cell is quite active and various MNC's come to the college. Some of the companies include Wipro, EY, KPMG.

They are brilliant. Each year companies start coming around the month of july and recruits number of students. The placement cell is quite active. The average package offered by EY was approximately 3 lakh. Some Other firms offered better packages too. In commerce, 40-60% students get placed every year.

College is quite active when it comes to societies and extra curriculars. The fest, Ullas is organised every year and is among the top fests in DU. Diwali mela is held every year too and departmental fests too. Each year kamala nehru day is celebrated. And the college day too.

Around 13,000 per annum which is quite nominal according to me. College has 3 computer labs, the journalism block has A/C so their fees is a bit more than us. Auditorium which is magnificent. Auditorium has air conditioner which is a relief. The infrastructure of the college is brilliant.

Scholarship is available. The students who top in their course receive monetary benefit upto 5000. Each year such students are felicitated.

It is an all girls college so gender ratio is 0 boys per 1000 girls. The societies are way active. Our college is known for its trendy Fashion society, Glitz. Not just this, we have cricket team, our very own band, photography society, dance society, choreography society amaong others. The list goes on.

There is no hostel as of now. The cafeteria has three parts. The main area, nescafe station and coke station. The food is too cheap at the main cafeteria. The best part about canteen is chicken is available! You can have dosa, idli, momos, honey chilli, paranths, flavoured milk, roll, greek yogurt, fried rice, paneer naan, even chappati!

The seniors were quite supportive. You hear a lot of thingns about ragging in school. But my experience was quite opposite. People generally don't interfere in each others life here. Every one is busy with their own little group in their own little world. If you are an extrovert, you'll make amazing friends from different departments. The girls are pretty good when it comes to communicating. If you interact with seniors, you'll find out that they are just like your other girl Friends.

The exams are spread over a period of a month. Since exam is centralized by delhi university and the date sheet is common for the whole university so there is no role of college in this. The course and exam is quite good. Before the exams we have our practicals. We get ample of time to prepare for our exams which in turn helps us to imporve our knowledge as well as score.

Best of four of class 12th was calculated and accordingly minimum cut off was set to be 95.25 for kamala nehru college. It varied from courses to courses. The highest cut off is usually of bcom hons and economics honours. I saw the cut off at delhi university's site. Went to the college the other day. A teacher was sitting just as i enetred the main building and guided me with the process. I went to the room which she told and filled the form. The fees was supposed to be paid online which i did when i reached back home. The process was quite simple. It was well organised.

The faculty is the best part about the college. Extremely skilled, knowledgeable teachers are there to teach, guide you throughout your semesters. They are always available. They are quite friendly and easy to reach. They don't hesiste even in giving their personal email address or phone no.
