Remarks

I had scored 175/200 in CET. So I applied for KJ Somaiya, SPCE, VJTI, and COEP. In the first list, I was allocated a seat in KJ Somaiya, then in the third list, I secured a seat at VJTI college. I was a general student and 175 was just enough to get into VJTI. The admission process is really smooth when they do a document check.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum needs to be updated with more subjects related to robotics and automation. All professors are well experienced but only a few teaches really well. There were 12-13 girls in our batch of 75 students. There are two semester exams in a year and 2 mid-semester exams each year.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement situation is really good and above 90% of the students get placed via campus placements. The highest package goes to above 40L with an average sitting somewhere around 6L. World-class companies like Google, Accenture, Microsoft, and Mercedes offer placement to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Compared to other engineering colleges in Mumbai, VJTI is probably the cheapest of all with a fee of around 70k each year for general category students. There is a number of scholarships available too. But almost no financial assistance for the general category. The placements are really good and I was fortunate enough to work for Larsen after graduation.

Campus Life

There is a number of cultural and tech events throughout the year. Techfest is a well-known fest that takes place in December and witnesses participation from colleges all over India. The classroom infrastructure is very poor and needs to be renovated. Sports is something are students are very passionate about on campus. There is a number of clubs which are really great to be involved in.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are good. But if more diverse number of companies are coming , then it would be more beneficial for students. Te average package you can expect is 4lpa . The most number of students getting placed companies are seclore and sogolytics.

COEP Technological University through my eyes.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered by this college. Top companies like Tata Motors, Bajaj, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Wipro pari, etc. Average placement for mechanical branch is about 9lpa while that for computer and entc goes up to 15lpa.

My College Life Experience

I Actually don't applied for any other college my preference from first was VJTI only however I do add SPIT on my 2nd preference I don't get rejected I just choose VJTI because it has a great background than any other college also it's location is quite good to get admission students must give an exam name mht cet which is Maharashtra state common entrance test through which they get admission in my course and many other once result is out the admission has to be done through cap round cutoff for my course is between 95-99%+ile depends on various factors like reservation and etc etc overall admission process takes some days but it is worthy...Read More

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it. To do engineering in Maharashtra, MH-CET is compulsory and every student here has come that way. Rank of 3000-4500 is enough for general category students to secure admission in VJTI's E&TC branch.
