Hostel Facilities

3

There are two wings in our hostel wing A and wing B. In first year you have 3 bed shared room where they provide gadda, study table and two kawat for your accessories. There are seperate hostel for boys and girls. There is common bathroom and there is also water cooler on each floor. Also lift is there. Meal quality are not much good there is no changes in menu. You get breakfast from 8am-9:30 am, lunch from 1pm - 2:30 pm, snacks from 5 pm to 6pm and dinner from 8-9 pm.

Admission

I had also applied for IISER along with NFSC. And i got confirmed sit in iiser kolkata. But i choose this college over iiser because of following reason (i) Fee: Fee of iiser is almost double from nfsc. (ii) Placement: we all know that iiser is not made for placement so i prefer nfsc where i almost 100% placement of average 12-14 lakh Like other college admission process there is extra medical test is there. If you fail to satisfy the medical then you will be rejected. Admission is based on JEE Mains and if your percentile is above 90 then you can get admission.

Faculty

4

All the faculty of NFSC is almost good. In first year most of the faculty are guest faculty which are phd appearing or phd holder. Faculties are good relationship with student. But but some times faculty didn't come to take class. Some of the best faculty are Nakul sir ( teach EG), Kishore sir ( for maths) , Arvinandan sir (fundamental of fire engineering) etc. There are two terminal exam per semester and one university examination. Examination are not much difficult but also some students fails to clear examination. Also NEP is introduced from 2024.

Night Life

3

There is a gym and a library in nfsc. The equipment of gym is not maintained properly The gym is open for 24 hour. Library is open from monday to saturday. Library generall open on morning 8am and closed on 8 pm. Hostel and campus is very strict you cannot move in slliper in campus. Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is under mumbai university so this college cannot modify syallbus in their own the have to strictly follow the university prescribe syallbus, academic timelines, rules and norms of the mumbai university. I have taken the admission in this college in the year 2024 from this year the NEP-2020 was adopted by the every indian universities and instituites. Since NEP-2020 was adopted also by mumbai university some new subjects are added to the syallabus that are oriented to financial literacy,Entreprenuianl, indian laws related subjects the syallubus of this subject is very good to see in the syallabus pdf. But the ground reality is different this subject is not given much importance by faculties the are treated as not much important subject as their are not related to our course as a result the students also take these subjects lightly. Also the professors appointed for this subjects are not much good they appoint the faculties who are recent graduates of their college who are working now as a professor in the same college. The college treat this subject lectures as an practice for the fresh faculties to gain experience of how to teach students. The core subject syallbus is same not changed the mumbai university has just changed the name of the subject. The college professors just teach the subject but they do not teach in that way that it makes us ready for real world problems. And also in the first year all the subjects are common for all the branches of the engineering which consist of subject like physics, chemistry, mechanics,Basic electrical Electronics,Engineering Graphics. It is my opinion why should an student who is studying an course called Computer Engineering so why should i read the subjects of the other branches like civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics in my first year instead of my domain subjects for whole two semester and the timespan of almost an year
