Bit hard to find teachers that teach exclusively in english/hindi as marathi is prevalent
The campus infrastructure is poor and old

Course Curriculum Overview

The NEP has made the curriculum be more diverse and not all technical adding many courses that aren't there in plain engineering. The older courses need an update as they are still stuck on old topics no longer required by us

Internships Opportunities

There are vast variety of companies visiting lole google and microsoft and offer many placements. There is also compulsory internships offered to us in 7th semester and if we cant secure one from outside companies, the college offers an internship on campus itself

Placement Experience

Placements are very good for circuital branches and pretty decent for core branches as well. Mech and prod usually touch 10 lpa and textile and electrical are around there usually too. But this year the placements and percentages have dropped due to recession. This year only 50 percent students got placed in production. I plan on doing mba after graduation

Fees and Financial Aid

There is alot of financial help offered to students The fees is already pretty low and is even lowered for scholarship helps to people of different caste, gender, and other socially helpable people which is good.

Campus Life

Technovanza , Pratibimb are the main fests of our college which offer a wide variety of inclusive activities and are held in grand fashion every year between months of December and January. Other clubs like debate, entrepreneurship, digital also exist and conduct fests during the same time. A variety of sports are all held in an annual sports fest known as enthusia during the month of February. There are also technical clubs like robotics and coding. The classes are equipped with AC and projectors

Hostel Facilities

The quality of the hostels is not that geeat . Although the new PG block available on campus is very comfortable although small rooms but new. The hostels are givem based on merit basis to those residing outside the city. The hostel is not given to everyone though and the hostel food is mostly decent

Admission

The college is mainly applied to by the MH CET exam which has multiple centres all kver Maharashtra and a couple centres in delhi but there is also some seats for j and k and north east people which come through by giving JEE

Faculty

The faculty members are a mixed bag. Some teachers are amazing and very qualified and some feel like they don't even have the basic knowledge of the subject that they themselves are teaching causing mixed opinions

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. I Actually don't applied for any other college my preference from first was VJTI only however I do add SPIT on my 2nd preference I don't get rejected I just choose VJTI because it has a great background than any other college also it's location is quite good to get admission students must give an exam name mht cet which is Maharashtra state common entrance test through which they get admission in my course and many other once result is out the admission has to be done through cap round cutoff for my course is between 95-99%+ile depends on various factors like reservation and etc etc overall admission process takes some days but it is worthy...Read More

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it. As IIST has a criteria that student should secure minimum 75% in board exams. IIST does not have 20%ile criteria where all iits,nits and gftis has....Read More

To do engineering in Maharashtra, MH-CET is compulsory and every student here has come that way. Rank of 3000-4500 is enough for general category students to secure admission in VJTI's E&TC branch.
