Remarks
The admission process completely was based on marks obtained in class 12. There wasn't any entrance at the time I took admission. The Eligibility of the Course Political Science Hons is class 12 degree. The application form process was online at my time due to covid. Now it would be completely offline. Notifications regarding the same will be given on the DU website. There are reservation criteria. But since this time there will be an Entrance for UG so the reservation might not be that beneficial. There should be a proper way to conduct the admission process. The process shouldn't be done in a hurried way.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Political science Hons as my Hons subject because I have an interest in politics, especially Indian politics. I wanted to explore my interest by doing deep into politics. And I wanted to pursue my career in the political field. The faculty of Kirorimal College is accomplished. The professors are friendly with the students and provide the platform to express our viewpoints openly. They give their best in teaching and helping the students in every possible way out. The faculty is mostly of professors who have done their Ph.D. and some are renowned research scholars and authors. The teaching style of the professors is practical. They focus on practical knowledge and enhancing the critical skills of students. They are interactive and provide a platform for students to open themselves. The exams are conducted according to the academic calendar of DU. In online mode, it's easy to score good marks but the case isn't the same in offline mode.
Internships Opportunities
There is one placement/internship cell that looks after placements and helps students by providing internships on day to day basis. Famous companies like Deloitte hire students and provide good placements. The stipend offered ranges from 1000- 15,000 above.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is affordable. Most of the students can afford the fees like most of the DU colleges fees is affordable. There are different scholarships based on the reservation and marks obtained.
Campus Life
There are different fest conducted by different societies and departments of colleges. The library has facilities of every kind genre. It provides college-related books, entrance books, and books relating to different fields. There is a sports cabinet which looks at the sports facilities. The extracurricular activities include internships, different societies, and competitions.
