Remarks

The admission process was good. I took JELET exam which was lateral entry in derect 2nd year b.tech.My general rank was 601 and sc rank was 94. Then Done the Counciling prosses. After that my seat alloted in cooch behar government engineering college. Then I took admission in that college.

I choose the civil engineering department because I passed in diploma engineering in civil engineering. In cooch Behar government engineering college civil engineering faculty is so good and their guidance so good. the exams always take place on time.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees were 14000rs. Semester fees are 3000rs in the civil engineering department. The scholarship opportunity is so good and its verification process is so first. For financially poor students tuition, and weaver fees opportunity is so good. Jobs in our college is also okay.

Campus Life

The library has so many stocks of books in all engineering departments. Which is available for all students. The class is smart and has a projector and large screen by which classes are done. In college many cultural clubs are available. The infrastructure of the college is also very nice.

From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
