To be eligible for admissions to NSEC Kolkata’s BTech programmes, aspirants must fulfil the eligibility requirements of JEE Main and WBJEE. The institute accepts the scores and ranks of both exams for admissions. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main include aspects like the candidate’s DOB, year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE), number of subjects in QE, number of attempts etc. On the other hand, WBJEE’s eligibility requirements include criteria like the aspirant’s nativity, age limit, marks secured and subject combination in Class 12 etc.

Got this course based on my Wbjee rank, wanted Information Technology branch but end up loving computer science, Faculty: Students ratio is 20:90 (average per department, eg. Information Technology), Above MTech and few, are Associate professors and Professors pursuing PhD and having PhD respectively, Every 6 months ( for me, the exam was not tough. Can't say about others as I have also seen few of friends got backlogs which I never got throughout entire 4 years)

I only sit full-time, and apart from that I was a freelancer back then and earning money online. Overall, there is an option for internship and other opportunities to earn money but since I haven't opted for any kind of internship back then I won't be able to describe it further. On average counting my friends who got such opportunities Offered from TCS for 3 months with a salary of 23000/month when he was in 3rd year.

The fee structure is High and well-divided. Placement is better than most private colleges. Multiple campus placements in IT companies like TCS, COGNIZANT, L&T, ACCENTURE, etc as well as several core companies. Coding and aptitude training is also provided by the college.

Tech fest organized by tech club - Phoenix (where I was the president for the year 2020-2021 session) and I was only responsible to organize annual tech fest Avenir, Brainstormed(quiz), Ahvahan Organized by the cultural team - Cultural fest, IEEE - Annual summit for many things There is a central library for all the books that are part of the curriculum, but at that time journals were not there don't know about now Annual sports covers all and Phoenix is there for other tech-related activities.
