Remarks

WBJEE examination conducted by WB government around may-july every year.It consist of two paper 1st paper contain maths of 100 marks and 2nd paper physics and chemistry 50 marks each .duration of each paper is 2hr every information of exam is there in the official website:www.wbjee.nic.in .after all the centralised counselling by wbjeeb another roumd of decentrialised counselling is conducted whose notice is given in the university website itslf

Course Curriculum Overview

course curriculum is great placement of IT department is great and proffesors are great and very helpful and some are rude and rigid .But the culture is very good in the classroom and campus .There are 86 overall students in our department and 10-11 proffessors are highly skilled and knowledgable in the IT industry.for each sem there will be mid sem of 30 marks of moderate level and end sem of 100 marks which is generally tough as we dont study before hand we have to study a day before or two .

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 30360 per year

Placement Experience

from 5th semester onwards students are allowed for internship interviews and from 7th semester for placement season. in the placement drive more than 100+ companies visited and made 700+offers were given . companies like google samsung apple hotstar wells fargo optum tata steel jio cesc texas instrument and many more more than 75% student get placed every year in core IT sector and consultancy firm. after completing btech i would study for gate or work in corporate till deciding

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees of other department is very cheap is around 10k for four years course but for IT it is 30k per year .moreever scholarship and feeeship are provided by college with many terms and condition .I think it is the best university with lowest fees in all over India . Government scheme such as SVMCM and many more supported by government

Campus Life

cultural fest is SANSKRITI which helfd every year it is of 8 day fest with various events such as western band eastern band its very amazing and memorable.tech fest is also very famous known as Srijan which has many event coding,mindspark event beatboxing,rap battle,pass the baton,sherlock event gaming event and many more events. there is a central library and a departmental library which has large volume of books .digital classroom with ac and smart board with withboard is very great. there are many clubs of science,mountaining robotics and coding club and many more

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
