Remarks

I got admitted through wbjee with a decent rank in the 3rd counseling after choice feeling in wbjee. The college, stream, and quota you will get are entirely dependent upon the sequence of filled choices by you, your rank, and available seats. You can find the detailed process of seat allocation on the internet.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Mechanical Engineering since I liked it. The faculties are well educated and they are pretty friendly towards and quite responsible for the students. The faculty: students ratio = 1:8(approximate) in our department. Internal exams happen monthly. The standard of the questions is very good for accurate evaluation.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for general category students is around 44k per semester. There are several reservations (e.g. TFW) as well. You can have several scholarships (e.g. ssvm, oasis, etc.)on meeting the corresponding eligibility criteria. Around 80% including me from our department are placed and I have got placed in Pinnacle Infotech Solutions.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is pretty good for learning and making students ready to face the challenges of the global professional world. The college has well-furnished classrooms with Air conditioning facilities, a well-maintained library with a collection of plenty number of books, free wifi, a common room, many types of indoor games, an eco-cultural club, and a playground.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Things you should know before taking admission in NSEC

Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college. I have given the west bengal joint entrance exam(wbjee) and through it the nsec college was allotted to me through counselling process. When the result declared, you have to apply for counselling and put your choice of colleges with rank. Every round you will be allotted college according to your result rank. Passing out in 2025, have seen a old place in 2021, to a new college in 2025, rennovated

I had a senior in my locality, 2019 passout, following whom I joined NSEC. I still admire and thank him for guiding me while joining NSEC. While admission I didint face any kind of interview. I had got a rank in WBJEE, and during the first counselling round, I selected NSEC, got NSEC, and finalized it by paying the first semester fees. I wasnt rejected by any college, as I went ahead with my first option. The counselling round at college isnt anything special, just a question whether or not we would be able to bear the college fees, as all comes down to money.
