Remarks

I got 5233 ranks in wbjee, get counciling in the first round, although last year in the mop-up round the final rank crossed around 13k you have to try to rank below 10k, and after 6 months alternatively, we have to pay fees, during admission I give 78k including 1st sem fees, in the second sem we pay 65k, rest of the semesters we have to pay 56k. I will suggest you apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit cum scholarship which will halved your fees if you are tfw you have to rank around 5k, then you have to pay a total of around 80k whole 4 years, which is very low, and if you got around 90k in jee mains then you can also take admission in cse

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose cse because it is the most trending course. Our college take online exams for giving PCA and ca marks and they are very easy to pass almost 10% of jee, our faculties and practical class are very good

Internships Opportunities

5

Netaji Subhash engineering college offers a large number of internship opportunities starts from 6th semester, Amazon Microsoft, Adobe, Tcs came into our college to offer assistant developers and web development, Android developer, Dbms administrator etc

Placement Experience

5

Students get interns in the mid-third year and tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, mcaff, bedantu, unacademy came to our college. One of my seniors got a record 1.5 crore job from Goldman's sacks and our placement is one of the best and average package is around 6.5 lacks and almost 95% of students got placed from cse, it, ece.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college fees are almost 4.83 lacks for 4 years and if you are tfw then cost around 80k for the whole 4 years. You can apply for the swami Vivekananda merit cum scholarship and can enjoy 60k per year which can halve your college fees, and if you are a tfw then you can also apply for a scholarship. I apply for svmcm and successfully paid my second-semester fees. But you should keep in mind you have to apply for only one government scholarship either central or state. (Cbsc and Icsc students can also apply) my many friends applied

Campus Life

4.5

Like Kolkata is a city of joy, the Nss campus is very much like that, in our college every department has its own fest, and many rock bands like underground authority, fossils came to our college before, it took place around the end of the first sem and our college has own library it takes fees to get books from the library, and our college various clubs like Rotaract, Phoenix you can get technical knowledge events etc and our college dominantly are non-Bengali and you can get help from college in any bad position

Interview Experience

4.5

In our college admission takes place from wbjee, jee mains, jelet for lateral entry, and almost 80% seats are covered by wbjee, 10% jee mains, 10%management quota and I got 5233 in Wbjee and council at 1st round, and you have to try to rank below 10k in wbjee although it was around 13k at the mop up round, and in 20k you can easily get it/ece and for chemical, mechanical, civil basically non core branch you can get selected in low ranks and on the basis of board results And one of my friends they scored around 92 percentile in jee mains they got placed in cse, And there is no difference between cse/it/ece and even mechanical and civil students also crack top product based company and enjoy high paying in our college

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
