Remarks

I took Admission through an entrance examination which is called CET. The CET application was available online on the website of the MAKAUT university. It took 600 rs to fillup the application form. The exam mode was online due to the pandemic situation of covid-19. In the enrollment, I gave the name of the institute I want to study and it was Guru Nanak institute of pharmaceutical science and technology. The eligibility criteria for this examination were to pass or to be appearing a Bsc or general science of 3 years

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Microbiology is an extraordinary Stream. In the pandemic situation, medical help is needed also we need biotechnologists and microbiologists for a better future. I really wanted to study Microbiology always. The facilities of teachers are better than the number of students in this college. Here highly educated, PhD holders, and knowledgeable teachers teach. Their teaching quality is very good. The type of interpretation is very exceptional. The teachers are very familiar and friendly. Once someone doesn't understand, they cooperate and explain again and again. The exam patterns were very standard. Questions came from the whole syllabus, also logical questions were given.

Internships Opportunities

5

The opportunity to do an internship in a good place is given by the college. I myself had the opportunity to do an internship from Suraksha diagnostics privet limited Newtown. The experience was so good? Also, there are many Pharma companies that give them opportunities for internships?

Placement Experience

5

Campusing is very nice. Here come different pharma companies, companies of food department and drinking, different IT companies with biological domains who recruit students in good positions with a good amount of salary. 70-80% of students get jobs. I want to get a good job which will help me to gather knowledge in life and enrich myself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is affordable for the M.Sc. Students. Students are given a stipend of 1500 rupees per month so that they are encouraged to study. Campusing is very good here. There are good companies who offer salaries of just the right amount to freshers and standard positions.

Campus Life

4.5

Not just reading, there are all kinds of extracurricular activities. The college has an eco-club, cultural club, photography club, journal club, football club, badminton club and many more. The campus is full of plants, surrounded by greenery. There is a big field for playing football and cricket. There is a basketball court, a badminton court. There are various cultural events in the year so that the students can sing and dance. College fest is held every year, college annual sports, post puja, Pre Diwali, reunion and many more things that encourage everyone to do something unique.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

From the 2nd last semester, that is the final year, students become eligible for campus placements. Last year, two of our seniors got placed at Reborn Child Development Centre (Durgapur and Asansol) with an average package of Rs 200,000. This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.
