Remarks
The admission process is very simple. For getting admission here you should have a valid JEE Mains scorecard and an extra registration form will have to fill which one can get at the Jamia portal, this registration form will be available during Nov-Dec. The application fee is INR 500. In Jamia, there is reservation benefits for Muslim, Muslim OBC, SC/ST, Kashmiri and Muslim Women. The admission process is very simple, one thing which is not good is the time/date of admission, which begins in July so I think it should start earlier.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had more interest in the electrical part during the preparation of JEE Mains. Faculty: student is 1:9 approx. Since Jamia is a central university in Delhi and a reputed institution so most of the faculties are professor, they are highly qualified in both ways, degree and research wise. Teaching method depends one who is very highly qualified may not deliver but other with less qualification can, So teaching method is above average you can say. The exam will be always on time, and if you have studied then it's easy to pass the exam but here you can't expect that professor will let you succeed if your performance is less.
Internships Opportunities
Companies for internship:-Indian Railway, DMRC, IOCL(No stipend). Trident, Microsoft, Google (50-100k) per month stipend. In the final year, you will have to do a project which is of high credit, you will have to show progress in it otherwise you will be degraded.
Placement Experience
From 7th sem students are eligible for placement. Companies visited are(For Electrical only):-TATA, Reliance, Siemens, L&T, ABB, Heromotors, Zia Semiconductor etc Highest package:-8L. Lowest:-4L. In the core field, 15-20 percentage placed others placed in software (Overall 90 percent placed) My plan is to do Masters from IISc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are one of the biggest benefits here, per yr fee will be around 10k and it will decrease after 1st year rather than increasing, so the fee is the least part of the concern here. There are various scholarships here for minorities, since the fee is very low no need for any financial scholarship. And if you are serious then definitely you will be placed, big companies for EE are Siemens, L&T, Reliance infra, TATA Power, ABB etc.
Campus Life
The annual fest is organised here in the open theatre auditorium, Taalimi Mela, Fresher party etc are some of the fests. There are separate library and reading rooms for every faculty and one common library is also there which is the central library Almost every class is equipped with A.C and density is also good. There are big stadiums in college and there are various facilities available but problem is that all student can't access those.
